Finally got my order and did some quick swatches of the birthday shade and the Where the Light Is set.

I got the set mainly for the last two shades, but I will use the second one as well. I knew the first shade would show up chalky/ashy on my skin tone, so I may use that as a base shade to make other shadows pop.

I need to check out CP's liners though it's easier and cheaper for me to get NYX at my local beauty supply store for $2.99.
The Nyx lip liners are ok, IMO. However the CP liners are much easier to apply, have a smoother application, comes in way more shades and are a step up from Nyx in quality.

Does anyone else do a full face of makeup for fun when they're bored-- even if you don't have any plans to leave the house?

That's what i did today. I wanted to play with some of my new CP goodies. Has anyone made some looks from the Mondays in Malibu set? I'm curious to see them! I've only been using one or two with other shadows I already have-- not sure how to create a look using them together.

Aaaanyway, This look is using both the freebie Birthday Girl shadow, and Hot Tamale. (I also buffed UD Riff into the crease!)

It's really pretty... but holy moly fall out. I even patted BG on with my finger and the multi-colored glitter got EVERYWHERE. And it wasn't easy to sweep away with a finger or fluffy brush. Also, it looks chunky applied to the lid-- not as beautiful and smooth as on my hand swatch. But, it was free-- so I can't really complain!

Hot Tamale is soooo pretty. I used a stiff flat shader to add it to my outer V, but then buffed some more in at the end with MAC 217 for more definition.

Also wearing Lunch Money highlight, but you can't see it too well in this lighting. I'm really liking this look!

(ps, sorry it's a little blurry. I only realized after uploading. Also I am most definitely still in PJs at 5pm

i am new to the colourpop fam after sitting back n watching for a loooong time. i've heard nothing but great things n figured i always wanted to try em but wasn't in a rush until i peeped that new metamorph palette soon to be released n said ummm yea CHECK PLEASE!!! im still debating if i want that "where the light is" palette but the metamorph is definitely on my list to grab. i figured i'd also take the time n get some lippies: tootsi, lumiere, pepper, westie and wet then get some shadows: nillionaire, coconut and butterfly beach highlighter!!

yall have really good swatches here which is nothing but danger for me!!! now...**rubs hands like birdman** when does this anticipated palette come out....

I would skip "where the light is" and take the new quad, instead. Similar shades of Kathleen quad are Nillionaire (<->Blaze), Girly(<->Glow), Bill(<->Cornelius) and Game face(<->Kathleen Lihts), see here: https://samaraxalessa.wordpress.com/2015/05/15/even-more-colourpop-swatches-new-lippies/
Not identical, but very close.
My favorite quad is Shaaanxo (see swatches here: https://samaraxalessa.wordpress.com/2015/05/08/colourpop-shadows-swatches/ ), and I've bought almost all the metallic eyeshadow already...

I finally got my colourpop order on Friday. Yesterday I wore Amaze and it was so pretty. I can't wait to try the rest out. So far tea party, lovely, and amaze are some of my favorites.

how's their shipping?
I haven't had any problems, so far. Then again, I am only a few hours away from them. The first few packages I got were in bags; not boxes, which I didn't like but nothing has been broken.

I always try to take into consideration that not everyone is as fast as amazon ( I have prime and their two day shipping spoils me) but, dang, shipping feels super slow when you are waiting on awesome Colourpop goodies! It takes around a week for me, at the most. I'm in southern California and it's 4 or 5 days to process but only a day or two to ship.
