I thought I commented in this thread but when I went to post my reply, I got a weird pop-up saying that my post needed to be "approved by a moderator". Is this something new?

Either way, I was just mentioning that this color reminds me a lot of Yield To Love from the A Novel Romance collection. I bet they will be very similar. I have that color so I'll be passing on this one.

Dont get wrong, I do like a nice mauve when I see it. Didn't get Yield To Love, didn't like the colour.

The few KUWTK eps I saw Bruce just wanted to play with his toy helicopters lol, he was not the schemer Kris is. I respect him because he earned his fame from becoming an Olympic champion, not from making a sex tape. Personally I think he is a cross dresser and may regret transitioning past that.

Since the proceeds of the lipsticks go to a good cause I would buy it if it were matte lol

This is an incredibly rude thing to say about a transgendered woman...and her pronouns are her. You can feel however you want about her but please don't disrespect a trans woman by saying things like that.

I need a new nude and I support the cause. Allthough I may not like the Kardashian family you can't deny that Caitlyn raised a lot of attention for the cause. You can say that there are other people who deserve this more but fact is that everybody now knows who Caitlyn is. If you know who Andrej Pejic, Valentijn de Hingh, Loiza Lamers, Geena Rocero, Carmen Carrera and a lot of others are, good for you. But go to a mall in a subburb and ask a girl or woman who has nothing to do with the cause if they know them and they won't. Ask them if they know who Caitlyn is and they will.

You can't deny she brings attention to the cause in a way the world has never seen before. That is not only good from a marketing point of view but it is also great for the cause. So I will support her, I hope she will sell a boatload of lipstick and I hope that there will be a next time for another transgender model with her own lipstick. If it was up to me, they could do this every year and I will buy that lipstick for the cause and not just for the spokesperson.

I don't like the color so I won't be getting it.

Knowing who someone is is both good and bad. Yes, women and girls may know who Caitlyn is but is she really the best spokeswoman for the cause? She is seen as part of the media hungering Jenner/ Kardashian clan who may or may not be really transitioning (she is but many people would probably see it as another way to remain in the spotlight). Would the women who know her know the issues that the trans gendered face, issues that she is somewhat protected from because Catilyn has money and fame?

I think that this is a sensitive topic and the moderators want to make sure that it stays polite and respectful. I'd like to think that we are all adults here and can talk about this issue as it relates to make up without being disrespectful but there is always the possibility that this thread could go in another direction.

ITA! I hope MAC raises tons of money for the cause.

No...No..Nope I can't with this woman. Her ideas are so far right and against what the LGBTQ community has faught tirelessly for; like marriage equality. I don't have to buy a lipstick to support the HIV positive community. I will do like I always do with any causes that I care about #Donate but I won't support a woman who'll endorse a Republican candidate who made disparaging remarks about trans children and teens. She is doing a huge disservice to the community she claims she is advocating for. That's like a woman supporting a candidate who's against equal pay for equal work. Here's how I see it Caitlyn cares more about her finances than social issues. She represents the complete opposite of what MAC used to stand for: Bold, creative, innovative. They could've chosen Laverne Cox, Chaz Bono, Isis King and Carmen Carrera etc. I read that once Chaz Bono transitioned he became more passionate and active in fighting for the LGBTQ community. While Caitlyn talks about how fun it is to be a girl because wearing makeup and getting our hair done is what it means to be a woman.

1000% agree. It astounds me that she doesn't support the very community that not only is she a part of now, but that supported her. I like the fact that MAC picked a transgender woman and is donating for a good cause, but she is one of the worst people they could've picked to represent the trans community.

That being said, did anyone get this? I'd love to see swatches even if I'm not getting it.

Truthfully, it's not one of my favorites. It has a strange raspberry undertone that isn't particularly flattering on me. It needs to be worn with the right eyeshadow, blush, and etc otherwise it just looks boring.

Well said. It hurts me to see someone disparaging another community of people when she should be supporting them as she wants them to support her. I was happy for her until I read and saw interviews of her speaking out against gay marriage and other issues. It's just sad and there should have been a more positive role model chosen.
