My my my my my!!!

I think this thread might help you: Uk seller designercosmetics2007

Ukdesignercosmetics2007, charleyandemily and its_a_hair_affair turned d.i.v.a-la-g.l.a.m (Post #10 - Highlight entire post to read!) are selling identical dodgy pigments:
  • Aire De Blu
  • Rose
  • Fairylite
  • Pink Opal
  • Cornflower
  • Dark Soul
  • Melon
  • Vanilla
I've never trusted d.i.v.a-la-g.l.a.m and her rubbish claims about selling them just so other people know how great MAC is and not getting profits from them.. she's more like counting the profits NOW from selling them dodgy pigments knowing that fake pigments are CHEAPY CHEAP CHEAP to obtain!! :/

Hmmm...well I think I will send it back to her because she says on her listing:

100% Genuine or your money back!
That's right, if you are not happy with your purchase, simply return the item/s unused and we will refund your money!
I am not happy with my purchase, the leaflet is making me feel uneasy and I do not want to put this on my face! I am a bit concerned though that she won't accept my return because I don't have any proof that it is fake.

That particular seller was PROVEN to have been selling fakes by girls here who compared to MAC shelf stock, and divalaglam pigments are identical to hers..... Dont be surprised if yours is fake too

Hey ive just found several Blue pigments on ebay at the moment and have asked a few of them to send photos of both the box and the bottom of the jar - i have 2 lots of pictures back showing the batch codes: AA2 and A55 - they both say 'Blue on the label' (from different sellers). One seller says they have 3 of the blue and 3 of the purple glitter which could be true in theory though i cant say i have seen many Blue pigments on there in the last few years...
Seen as the last number represents the year, and the A stands for 1st batch, i was wondering if one of these could be fake (the box and the jars look real to me from info on here, though im not an expert on the subject by all means.
Blue is an old discontinued pigment if im not mistaken and was rereleased (with a minor colour difference) as a LE called Rebelrock - though surely the pigments of rebelrock would have this as a name on the label?
One of the sellers said that they buy directly from MAC but then asked how i can tell a fake from the real thing, probably just curious and im being paranoid (from the seller 3rd link down which is the one i wanted originally)...

Not blue pigment, but a seller with no feedback (joined 9th August 2007) selling 80 pigments in 10-20 in 3/8 tsp pig lots from USA...

Sorry about the long post, i tend to not do things by half. I was wondering if someone could tell me the batch code of the real Blue pigment - all this almost makes it not worth the hassle! And should the USA sellers that have 'MAC' samples up be reported to ebay?
Cheers, oh and hey ive just joined!

RR Blue = A55

But you have to remember that there may be several different authentic batch codes for Blue, it was released more than once as part of the pro line and was a slightly different colour to RR Blue - less peacocky blue I guess is the best way to put it - this is a pic of pre RR blue I found on a random website.
Also RR Blue was not released as RR Blue, it was just "Blue" and never had Rebelrock printed on the colour sticker or box. Batch codes pre A55 I am sure are pro Blue. Blue comes up frequently enough - I just bought a full sized jar from a seller that had two only a week ago, its here already and its totally authentic, and you will see it about ebay fairly often. Colours like Forest Green, Maroon, All Girl and Gold (frost) are much harder to come by. Most of these auctions look real enough to me, theres probably only one or two I wouldnt touch, and really only ONE that I would probably buy from and thats nancyc4630 because she has bothered with pics that clearly show the labelling etc. HTH

This is great info

During my years of selling/buying pigments I've had/reported around 5 fake sellers who were then kicked off ebay. I buy my MAC directly from MACPRO/MAC COSMETICS but also on Ebay. Latley I've noticed some new sellers and bought some from them just so I can see if they are selling fakes and like someone mentioned above sellers dont even know it. All the info here is great and have used it to check all of my stock so thank all of you

Hi panda is nancyc4630 here or are on EBAY? I liked what you said about old colors being re-released in new collections, some things do change. I would think like every company, over the years they try and improve their packaging/product..but since I dont work there what do I know, lol

Definitely ask for actual photos of the pigment, and post them on here so members can tell you if they are real or not - the only photo they have of it is a stock/'borrowed' photo, the pigments have been selling for quite a bit less than they can be bought for, they have little feedback and they are based in australia. All these factors make me very weary.
There are many authentic sellers on ebay, if you take a gander at the seller thread
http://www.specktra.net/showthread.php?t=49661
you will probably find a seller in your area that is verified by someone on here.

I'll do that. I'm prepared to pay more than to risk it being fake. But I can't find this colour from the genuine sellers!

Ohhh, okay that makes a lot more sence
smiles.gif
) Like wolfsong said, theres a few warning signs there. She's a new seller and isnt using her pictures. It may not be fake, just a new seller starting out and hasnt taken pictures of her own yet. They may be real but you wont know unless they send you some pictures. There some more good sellers in the U.S. in addition to the ones already listed

What do you girls think? Should I be asking for more photos?

I wouldn't bother asking for more pictures of the pigments as she's selling a similar bunch of pigments (as other sellers such as designercosmetics2007, d.i.v.a-la-g.l.am and charleyandemily) like:
  • Cornflower
  • Melon
  • Vanilla
  • Fairylite
  • Rose
  • Pink Opal
  • Dark Soul
  • Aire De Blu
There's a post regarding designercosmetics2007. There's also Post #42 and onwards regarding d.i.v.a-la.g.l.a.m.

LOL!! you beat me to it - I wa going to say the same thing, I wouldnt touch this pigment or this seller for the reasons you listed. These particular colours seem to be sold in lots from individual sellers just like this, and funnily enough they never seem to get other colours which makes me believe that these are probably fake exactlly like the other sellers you listed

Better safe than sorry!
