Maybelline

I haven't tried that many maybelline products, but I know that they definately have the widest range of mascaras to pick from. My personal fav is full n' soft waterproof. And although many magazines say that Great Lash is a good mascara, I have heard (from makeupalley and various other sources) that it's really bad.

I've heard great things and horrible things about great lash. I haven't really tried it, but allure has praised it over and over again. So, we'll see what happens ;P I have really thin, wimpy lashes. It takes a lot of mascara just to make them look "natural"!!

I have Great Lash in my kit, but don't use the wands like ever on anyone. I take a brush and get some mascara on it, hold the protector underneath the lower lashes and brush on. I then tell the model to close their eyes and I brush on the top lashes. No clumps and now longer and thicker lashes.

That tool's called a tweezerman mascara protector. To clean it off afterwards you can use 90 alcohol or eye makeup remover (if its your personal one).

IMO:

Great Lash is amazing for the lower lashes
Full N Soft waterproof was my HG for years! Curled and held my thick, straight lashes all day and night...and sometimes for the next morning ;P
Their foundations are hit or miss for me, having liked Age Rewind and Dream Matte Mousse, but hating Pure.Makeup and Pure Stay.

As for powders, I actually liked Pure.Powder for when I got oily.

The Expert Wear Blush is ok, but not what I prefer. I find them very shimmery and they always end up making my cheeks look greasy, even if I am not oily.

And lastly, I am in love with the Line Stylist lip liner! I have Rose, Caramel, and Nude. The only thing is I tend to prefer pencil liners to automatics, but I just adore these for everyday wear, with Nude being my favorite.

Dream mousse blush-I had Peach Satin and it was actually very pretty. silky and smooth with a pretty soft shade.

Dream mousse shimmer-it was basically just like a shimmery light color, i guess it put on certain areas of the face. it was pretty i guess. nothing too spectacular

dream mousse bronzer-ehh didn't really like it. it was just okay

dream mousse shadow- i actually had about every color. the colors are soft light and pretty, but they were hard for me to apply. I was using my finger at the time and the whole pot of shadow just got really clumpy. Like when I applied it on my eyes, I had to blend the little shadow balls into my eye for like 3 minutes so it wouldn't look clumpy and gross. they're pretty colors to try out though. I used a lot of the pastel purples, blues and greens for springtime and got a lot of compliments.

shadow stylist-ehh I had all of these colors too. Literally. They are pretty colors but I hate the applicator sponge it comes with. right now i'm only using the white color for a highlight (works great for that). I kind of apply it somewhat mess-ily under my brow because I go in with a blending brush to smooth it all out.

great lash mascara-sucks. I cannot believe that so many people swear by this mascara. The brush is flimsy and thin, the mascara didn't curl or lengthen or volumize my lashes. it just coated them with black goo. Biggest waste of $3 ever.

xxl mascara-it was ok. no big deal for me.

volum express mascara-i was using this one for awhile. It was just a regular mascara, curls and lengthens a little bit. no real complaints

moisture extreme lip color in nude blush-this is okay its a pretty standard lipstick to me. the color is okay on me it just looks like a tinted lip balm. no big complaints

lip polish-kind of cheap. really cheap, actually. I wouldn't really recommend this gloss.

shiny licious gloss- this was okay i guess. I don't like the smell and they are really sticky.

ROLLER COLOR SHADOW-i forgot all about this shadow. These were some of my favorite shadowss. sparkly, pretty colors, easy to apply. They've been discontinued, i didn't even know it. I have the pink, the brown, the ivory, the green and the blue. I love these things. You can take the ball off and just use a brush to apply the shadow too.

Maybelline Great lash is HORRIBLE.
i Hate it so much.
the lash wand sucks, and makes it clump like crazy.
it also makes your eyelashes pretty stiff.
and the product seems really kinda of...watery?
like its really liquidy, but it still manages to clump a freaking lot.
do NOT get it.
such a waste of 6 dollars! >=[

I've had mixed results with Maybelline... this is what I currently have:

Volum' Express mascara (waterproof - Very Black): Words do not begin to describe how much I LOVE this mascara. I have tried more mascaras than I'd rather count, and I always come back to this. My lashes are difficult... very long, but very blonde. Plus I wear glasses so I need something that gives a decent curl and thickness without rubbing off on my lenses. I find one or two coats of this to the top and bottom of my lashes is perfect. And it has amazing staying power! The waterproof version pretty much requires make-up remover to take off.

Intense XXL (Very Black): Was recommended this by a friend but was not overly impressed. I was skeptical about the white primer, but found that a couple coats got rid of the white tinge and my lashes certainly looked longer (which I though impossible). However it clumped and flaked off throughout the day, and by the time I got off work it looked like I hadn't even applied any.

Liquid Eyeliner (waterproof - Black): Like the Volum' Express mascara, this is a staple to my collection. I love the applicator and find it provides an extremely precise line with whatever thickness you are trying to achive. Also has excellent staying power.

Expertwear Eye Shadow (#80 duo - Grey Matters & #30 duo - Rose Tints): Maybelline has great colours... however I find them rather dull once they are applied. If you are seeking a more natural look, these are for you. Beware that they fade though, even with a base.

Cool Effects Cream Eye Colour (Cool Blues): Provides an awesome metallic colour effect, as long as you are willing to sit with your eye closed until it dries. Still creases whether or not a base is used, although it does help. If anyone has any tips on staying power, I'd appreciate it because I do love the colour.

Shiny-licious Lip Gloss (#20 - Berry): Great lip gloss imo! Tastes and smells yummy and really adds colour to any lip colour (and is great on it's own!). The only two downsides is it's staying ability and the applicator. It's a sponge-like applicator which gets kinda gross looking after applying over lipstick.

volum express = LOVE!
I have tried soooo many mascaras(dior, chanel,drugstore...), but nothing does a job like this, for me it's a musthave!

I only like Maybelline mascaras:

Great Lash- Curved Brush Blackest Black- I've always liked this mascara and have been using it for years. I get it cheap at Wal-Mart and usually have a coupon.

Define a Lash- I like this mascara. There are no clumps, but no volume either. this one is okay. I would not purchase again.

Define a Lash (Volume)- This is a new masacara that just came out. It's like the first one, but this one gives some volume. I like this one and would buy it again, but only with a coupon.

Volume Express-I bought this at Target for like $1.50, I couldn't resist. I'm a "sucker" for cheap mascara. Anyhow, this mascara provides the lashes with good volume, curve, etc. I think it's good, but it clumps and I don't like clumps. I don't have time to take out my lash comb after using mascara. So, I would not purchase this mascara again no matter how cheap it is.

I recently bught the mouse blush in peach satin and the plum color. I also bought the mouse eye shadows in suede (?) and the mint green. I absolutely love them. You need just a little of the blush and I put the eye shadows on with a brush. Great staying power!!!! I have dry skin and the blush just blends into my skin great!

Great Lash mascara is fine, if you are looking for a good quality basic mascara - if you are looking for something that makes your lashes look like something they are not, it isn't for you. It darkens the lashes, and 2 or 3 coats makes them look a bit thicker. I have never had any problems with it smudging or flaking and it lasts. For the money, it is a great product, especially if you have nice lashes to start with.

Wet Shine Liquid Lipcolor is pretty great, I have several in both the creme and diamonds type...costs alot less than the similar L'Oreal Glam Shine, and I don't see a heck of a difference, not enough to justify price anyway

Eyeshadows are hit or miss, I used to think they were ok, but the last few I have purchased, including the new formula, have looked really pretty in the compact but not so exciting on. And the texture is off - hard to explain, but for a pressed shadow, it gets all over when you are applying it. The weird thing is, it depends on the color - some are messy, some you get hardly any color payoff. I don't think I will buy any more of these.

I used to love Maybelline when I was younger.

I don't like the eyeshadows, but the mascaras are good.
I hate the new long lasting lipgloss. It's $10 but horrible quality.

I recently bought the Dream Matte Mousse and while it feels great, the tone isn't right. My skin looks red!

My two favorite Maybelline things are:

Define A Lash mascara (both the pink and green bottle)

and

Their eyeshadow singles (the matte ones) I find them very useful bases and they work well to deepen my eyeshadows.

I picked up the Great Lash mascara as a free gift from Ulta and it's terrible. The wand is sparse and it really didn't do more than clump my lashes together and make them look 'caked' on and dull. I was not impressed, then I was upset I wasted my Ulta gift for the quarter...

. Needless to say, I used it once and it went right into the trash. I should have bought my usual..lol.
