MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

Pantone the people who name the official it colors of the season has announced that for 2011 the colors Honeysuckle( a reddish pink, think Pink Nouveau/Love Lorn l/s ), Coral Rose ( a sophisticated orange) and Beeswax ( a honeyed yellow) are the colors of the year. So corals will be everywhere again and I also think they have fused Honeysuckle and Coral Rose into a color similar to Toxic Tale and Impassioned-booyah bright.

back to topic: I love all the summer collections regardless of the packaging. They usually are my favorites.

me too! i bought it in a sale on specktra dirt cheap and i swear it's one of my fave perfumes! they need to re-release it!!

I would be totally on board with a light aqua packaging. I will get something just for packaging even if i don't like the collection.

Face2MAC - I'm not sure how I feel about Beeswax but the rest sound yummy and definitely more "me".

Off topic, I actually like winter more than summer. My body doesn't react well to heat and humidity, I get constant heat rashes and feel faint in the summer. I had three passing out due to heat exhaustion episodes this past summer. I also love to be tanned but I get burnt which is no fun. I rather be cool and just get spray tanned which is what i always do

Can I just say that when I first read about the new collection, I thought it was SMURF Baby?!

I was not interested in smurf blue products packaged in diapers. LOL

I'm in with the watermelon, the nudes, the sun drops, the bronze, definitely the robin's egg blue packaging... I'm gonna throw out a new one...

Jelly-finish nail polish. A sheer turquoise tint could be layered over little beach-time scenes or fishies! Sooo cute

I would really love something with some interesting textures - part of my love of the beach is the sand! Anything that would give the effect of a wet look would also be awesome and different from what we've seen over the past couple of years.

Love this thread. It is hard for me to imagine summer colors with all this snow on the ground and we don't see temperatures above freezing today. Sure, I hate driving in the slippery roads, freezing no matter how many layers I wear, dry as a bone skin, chapped lips, and cold/flu season as much as the next girl, but my body hates the stupid short days and long nights--makes my seasonal affective disorder mood all wacked out!

Okay, I'd definitely go for some creme blushes, tendertones, and watermelon glossies. I am bored with the corals. I could definitely dig some nude glosses and shimmery MSF, like NARS Albatross maybe? Or some lovely flesh tones with a hint of shimmer for a retro 70's almost natural but a little bit better look. Think Farrah Fawcet...okay, minus the winged bangs... or better yet, Bo Derrek!

And sign me up for Team Seafoam Green packaging!

I'm excited what this collection has to offer. I've been off the MAC train for awhile, I just haven't been excited about anything since VV. I'm so ready for summer, well spring I guess, summer is just too hot!

I love the idea of seafoam green or minty packaging, something that has a really sleek look to it. I really want Waternymph, and if they repromoted it, I would be MAC's best friend forever But I love the look of the packaging from the Lure collection too, I wasn't into MAC at that time, but I totally want that whole collection. So, if they had something similar, I would be all over it! I love the idea of a collection based on really watery colors, light minty greens (like Aquavert but more blue), deep smoky emeralds, teals (like parrot or Waternymph), and stark baby blues . If that was the kind of color scheme they had, I would be broke in a heartbeat! I'm not a big beach person, but I'm always a huge fan of MAC summer collections. I still covet my To the Beach stuff and use it the most often out of all my stash, Splashing and Lazy Day are two of my favorites!

I use my TTB stuff a lot, too! I still have items missing that I wanted to haul... I guess we are just summer girls

actually, I prefer spring which I believe is when this comes out.
