I don't sunbathe, but OMG, I can't seem to live without being out in the sun. I love how tanned and pretty my skin gets. It seems to even out, but I do protect it b/c I don't want wrinkles. Why I don't live in a warmer climate I don't know. I will stand or sit outside just to feel the sun on my skin. I have to be outside doing something in the summer. Hanging out at the beach, an outdoor restaurant, riding my bicycle on the lakefront, and bbq's with friends. I have to be outside. I am never at home unless I am sleeping.

That parasol collection would be very cute.

I love the way my skin looks in the sun aswell, nice and glowy

my skin seems alot more evened out aswell which I love but I do feel I need to protect it more as I usually just use a moisturiser with spf 15 in the morning and thats it till noon

I have actually grown to love my fair skin, and beyond that I do everything I can to protect and preserve it. I don't wanna be lookin like an old leather handbag down the line, lol.

i would buy everything in a collection like that in a heartbeat. i don't like going out in summer without SPF50+ on, and i live in scotland - not known for it's tropical climate.

Same! If I even go out into the sun for five minutes to walk to my car without sunscreen, I can feel my nose burning. Why I still live in AZ is beyond me....

I understand, I should have said I don't sunbathe religiously, but I will go lay out, bring food, music, something to drink and a book. That is a good time for me.

oh don't get me wrong! i love the sun and i love doing things outdoors. i just hate the idea of sunbathing and just sitting in the sun not doing anything! but what i love most about the sun is how quickly my washing dries when i hang it on the washing line! and the smell is wonderful! you can't beat having the breeze and sun drying your knickers! lol!

LOL Seriously I remember I got a sunburnt in the city it was June, just by walking for 20 minutes under the sun wearing a regular tank top, but not wearing any sunscreen on my arms and neck/chest! Huge mistake!

yep, me too! I even wear sunglasses all the time when I go out. It must have worked as I don't have wrinkles at my crotchety ol age

heh.. I hear ya Meggy and Elegant.. I have been running from sunlight for the last 3 decades

I passed out from sunstroke/sunburn when I was 18 and lost a mole on my face to the burn -- ever since then I have been ordered by doctors all over the world to stay out of the sun.. and if I do get sun, it is always with a sunblock of spf 50+ and mu with spf also.. plus I wear the Shiseido eye block..(sunblock for lower lids) and that also has helped.. I am now half a century old and don't look like a leather bag.. at least not a cheap one

maybe a refined elegant and slightly used Chanel 255

I know what you mean. In the 70's I baked myself, of course we all did back then. I'll hit the half century in about a year and a half. My skin is holding up quite well and I protect it like crazy. I'm terrified of age/sun spots so lots of sunsreen on my hands and lower neck-upper chest area as well since I wear a lot of v-necks.

Tell me about the Shiseido under eye sunblock. I've been using the Clarins under eye spf 30 for a while. But I'm alway interesting in different things, yep I'm a product whore.

aw well maybe your children could play in the garden too? although i guess they would want you to join in with them rather than letting you sit and read a book perhaps!

this collection isn't too far away now. i would love to see swatches of the bronzing stick. and i want to know if there will be multiple colours and if one will be a dupe for the nars malibu multiple stick (i think that is the bronze one!)

why?

i am so pale that if i go out in the sun without a really high SPF, in about 5 minutes i go from snow white to cooked lobster, and it really hurts. when you risk your skin peeling off in large chunks, weeping blisters and lots of pain, staying covered up is a sensible idea. plus i like being pale. what's wrong with that?

Nothing. Maybe I should clarify my laughing. Really I was laughing at how quite a few ppl jumped on that convo and the reference HG made to looking like a leather bag...I apologize if anyone thought I was laughing at the misfortunes they have with burning. That's not a funny thing.

it's all cool guys! sadly i burn easy also which is another reason why i stay out of the sun! plus my hubby burns like a bitch and then moans if he gets sunburnt so it just isn't worth listening to the whining! lol!

anybody have any other hopes and wishes for this collection?
