MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

I've just posted my final reviews of this collection, tan tint bronzer stick and lush-lightly bronze careblend. Here ya go.

I've also done a FOTD using some of the products, if anyone is interested.

What a stupid response! Anyone with an internet account could have told you that. Anyway, if it helps, the normal sequence is that the official launch date in store is a Thursday, it's on line the Tuesday prior, in Pro stores a week prior and on the Pro site the Tuesday prior to that. So, if that holds (and it has for every collection except the holidays in the last year), it would mean:

Pro Site: May 17th
Pro Stores: May 19th
Regular Site: May 24th
Regular Stores & Counters: May 26th

Not guaranteed, but HTH.

ok I don't know about you guys but i'm still bummed theres no cheek tints, only bronzing ones :( think someone should bug mac's facebook and demand why the hell they took away my babies?! Those i would have easily bought the bronzer.... I have issues with bronzer (except pink power from wonder woman) so yeah :(

I'm just not feeling this collection for some reason.

I've only bought three MAC things since February, so maybe I've just lost the MAC itch....

I was considering the teal pigment stack, but unfortunately none of the colors look teal, just silver. Plus I find the pigment stacks difficult to use -- I never wear the gorgeous purple one from SCF because of the awful fallout (even when used wet). I just bought a Guerlain bronzer, so I really don't need bronzers. And Hibiscus just looks to red; I'll do orange, purple, berry and magenta but not red, so this lippie just doesn't appeal to me.

I may go swatch the shadows, but I don't really need any of those colors. Ah well, money saved I suppose!

Yeah I did,I really liked Count your assets and I'm keeping that one.But the other 2,Free as air and My Next Indulgence are gorgeous,but sadly very bad application.Those are going back tomorrow!I don't have any kids tho,but thanks for asking!

if i don't get my package today i am not going to be happy - i'm begining to think this is a re-run of when i never got my digna lippie at christmas!

That is so bad. I'm hoping my missing lipstick turns up today or tomorrow as I was told it should be with me by the end of the week. I hope you get your stuff today, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

I went to MAC and saw Surf Baby in person. In my opinion the collection is much nicer in person. I only had a few things in my wish list but walked away with more items. The collection really took me by surprise but then again i do LOVE MAC's summer collections. So, i got: Hibiscus Lipstick Bust Out Lipstick Good Lovin' Lipglass Surfs Up Eyeshadow Short Shorts Eyeshadow Blue Noon Powerpoint Eye Pencil Gilded White Powerpoint Eye Pencil Surf the Ocean Crushed Metalic Pigment Guilty Bronze Skinsheen bronzer Stick My Paradise Surf, Baby! Powder. The eyeshadows in this collection are very pigmented and vibrant, especiallu surf usa. I am in love with everything, the packaging is very cute. I might go back for the teal nail lacquer.

I'm really hoping to maintain self-control when I get to see this collection in person. I know that's much easier said than done. But I'm really gonna try hard :)

my package finally arrived today! so that is great! but i left it at work! doh!! very stressful day for me today so i guess i am not shocked. sorry about the delay in swatches and stuff guys :(

Just got an invite to a surf baby release on May 17th! NYC ladies, it's in Hillside (queens I think!) I have called and RSVPed at release parties w/o invite so if any of you are interested, just thought I'd share info!
