MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

Im just getting so tired of waiting for this already. For some reason this feels like one of the longest times since I first saw Hibiscus wayyyy early in winter and I just want it already and still what....another week+ to go? And since I'll be ordering online....will still have to wait to get it in the mail too! It'd better be worth it.

I know what you mean. I'm supposed to have some money coming in this week, but I'm thinking of taking myself on a trip to Sephora if SB isn't in my Pro store on Thursday.

I'm just glad I'm not alone in my crazy hyper-planning of what I want to get in this collection, browsing this thread everyday and generally whining about waiting for this collection to come out. I so agree...it's awful waiting! Esp. when you see these gorgeous swatches and deets from people in UK/Europe who are already getting their surf on.

But I think I've finally narrowed it down....I have to have Sun Blonde, Surf USA, Short Shorts, and I'll test Hibiscus in-store when the 27th FINALLY rolls around haha...My Paradise for sure, I have almost no coral blushes...and I'm debating on the Studio Careblends...I've got pretty light, fairish medium skin. I want to use it as a bronzer/contour powder, so nothing too gold or orange. Unless they are both orangey gold? Maybe I need to go look at the swatches again. Haha

I just had yet another dream about this collection and me not being able to order anything. In my dream, they had JUST put it up on the site, but the coding was still screwy, so nothing could be ordered. Also, on the mobile site, it showed a free overnight shipping code ("MAC"). That just pisses me off because it'll certainly expire before SB launches. DX

Missed you ladies) My list is still standing firm! ...Teal stack and Surf USA. Thank goodness cause I'm eyeing some clothes from BEBE, and they aint cheap lol. I decided against Hibiscus. I'm not much of a coral wearer, Ever Hip is actually pretty bright on me and I love it so I'm good.

ugh. I keep telling myself I dont need anything from this collection , that I have stuff in my collection that is similar but the color combo that I have envisioned using
Surf USA , Sun Blonde and Saffron is making me itch to just take the plunge. I just feel like lately I dont even have time to sit and think on these mac collections because everything sells out before I can click refresh!! I seriously might need to go to therepy over the remorse I have on not picking up candy yum yum. I have so much remorse that this weekend I picked up the cutie quad and sakura blush :::: hangs head in shame::::::

I'm NW15 light-medium skin and the lightest careblend (gold go-lightly) is definately not orange in any way. It's a nice natural matte brown - great pigmentation but looks very natural on and blends beautifully. It is the best bronzer/contour that I've come across so far

I'm wearing my paradise blush and gold-go-lightly careblend as bronze/contour today and I'm still loving both items

hehe i have decided to take out the eyeshadows i originally wanted to get and replace them with 2 mufe lipsticks.. i cnt help myself =(

so it looks like im only getting hibiscus and strange potion from this collection.. im really on a lipstick kick lately!

I'm NW15 light-medium skin and the lightest careblend (gold go-lightly) is definately not orange in any way. It's a nice natural matte brown - great pigmentation but looks very natural on and blends beautifully. It is the best bronzer/contour that I've come across so far

The swatches I found on http://make-upjournal.blogspot.com/2011/05/mac-surf-baby-lipstick-and-lipglass.html of Hibiscus vs Toxic Tale makes me want to skip Hibiscus as I like Toxic Tale swatch way better.

Haha that is my blog! Glad I could help you out. I must say that the finishes are so different, Toxic Tale has a Satin finish whilst Hibiscus is a Cremesheen and buildable.

I caved when I was out shopping in Tunbridge Wells. I saw My Paradise and they had it in stock so after swatching, I decided to go for it. It is the swirled colour I like and I'm going to use Gold Deposit with it like suggested on here when the overlay has gone. I will post on my blog what they look like together soon. I also loved Short Shorts but didn't buy it for some reason.

Then yesterday I noticed that Debenhams has a sale on beauty so I ordered Short Shorts, Saffron (they didn't have that in store to swatch but the girls were wearing an orangey colour with what looked like Sun Blonde so it was probably Saffron and it looked great), Rebel, Creme Cup and Gold Deposit. So I'm excited about that! I probably wouldn't have done it if they weren't on sale.

Anyone living in the Kent/Sussex area, the Tunbridge Wells MAC counter in Fenwick seems to have Candy Yum Yum in stock still! It didn't say sold out so if anyone is interested, it might be worth giving them a call to check!

(Chanel,Dior,MUFE...) so you lost me MAC, I may get Hibiscus and Krazy Kahuna and that's all!

TT looked horrible on me, i wanted to love it so much but it didn't work for me, it clahed with my yellow undertones.
