Such Flare looks Hot!!! i feel soo guilty now i have to cut down my list since i just bought a pair of betsey johnson boots!!!! i knew i had to keep my self away from the freaking mall!!!

ya, they r all beige. I swapped them all except one for me and one for my mom. She is really dark compared to me so it would look great on her. She is like NC 35 and warm so the blue veining wouldnt work for her anyways.


About MES you know i want them all... i have an obsession for Mineralized stuff.... So... hahahah. But since discount doest apply for now im only getting the black and silver. and then snow globe and one lippie maybe whirls and twirls? i dunno..or the silver but...how wearable would that be!?

How did your new LC's turn out? Beige again?

And what MES are you getting?

Still need to finalize my list...

I'm heading in tomorrow to pre-order before the event on the 18th. Without having seen anything in person, I'm leaning towards this:

For Effect p/p
Fresh Ice MES
Pleasure Principle d/g
Going for Gold t/l

Then depending on how they work out, Winterized and/or Shimmermint (compared to Surf the Ocean crushed metals), Silver Skates t/l, Unconditionally Fabulous n/p, and perhaps a pigment set or two, depending on how different they are from the 3 I already own (there seem to be a lot of similar colors between the purple/pink one from Spring '10, and the Surf Baby ones - I do really love those Crushed Metals, though). Maybe Double Spin or Soft Sable or Eloquent Air, but they feel a little extraneous.

She-Zam is really fun, but I feel like I've used it enough since I've owned it and would rather move on to something else, hence Pleasure Principle.
Wondering about the waterline safety of the t/ls, considering they're pearlized.

Overall, I've got to save my pennies for Gareth Pugh and beyond.

I was able to pre-order some items for the Holiday collection at Nordies today! I'm super excited. I spent an exuberant amount of time swatching everything and deciding which items I liked best and would get the most use out of. Here's what I ordered to pick up on the 27th:


-Snowglobe body powder. My NC15 skin is perrrfect for it
-Shimmermint e/s - this was the only shadow I could conceivably buy that I knew I would get enough use out of. I'm trying to wean myself off shadows for awhile and only get the ones that really stand out and/or aren't similar to what I already own.
-Gaga Viva Glam kit - I had to cave on this one because I missed out on both lipsticks during their initial run. I am in love with the Gaga I lipstick in particular. The nude one also works relatively well with my skin tone, so I'm happy.
-Let's Skate & For Effect Paint pots - I was going to get Morning Frost to complete the paint pots, but I don't think I would use it as often to justify purchasing it. For those with super fair skin, I would highly recommend Let's Skate - it has just enough shimmer to look like a glammed up neutral eye on fair complexions. The sparkle effect in it is gorgeous.
-Whirls & Twirls Lipstick - I was really excited for all 6 of the lipsticks, but this is the one I felt was unlike any of the other lipsticks I own. Double Spin reminded me too much of a plummier Rebel, and I already own that lipstick, so I passed on it. Such Flare seemed too bright of a red for my skin tone, it almost came off as an orange red on me, which wasn't too flattering. The others had a frost finish which makes me look rather...dead. lol.
-Dressed to Dazzle Dazzleglass - This shade looked really awesome layered over Whirls & Twirls so I had to get it.
-Sultry Lip Bag - I liked the lipstick that came in this set, and I am a sucker for cremesheen finishes.
-Special Edition Brush Set - A mini 217 brush is right up my alley
-Warm Fabulously Festive Face Kit - This is the only set that I am iffy about and wondering if I should cancel ordering it - I'm not super crazy about the blush and I think the brownish orange hue might clash with my skin tone. If I am light-handed with it, it may work out. On my skin the blush looked like it may be more suitable as a slight bronzer rather than a blush. Everything else in the kit appealed to me. I love the lipglass and eyeshadows more than anything.

Whew! And now my wallet officially hates me! LOL

Yes!!! I remember because it was such a pretty 'neutral' shimmer on my skin. Really worked well with my undertones. I checked my list and it's #3 out of the MESs I have written down (Shimmermint and Fresh Ice are #1 and #2).

I'm going to spoil myself silly this season. New make up + new custom built gamer PC RIG will hopefully get me past the holiday blues. I wonder what the quality of the brushes will be this time around. I was never happy with how scratchy they felt >_> Plus tokidoki is coming out with a new set of brushes in the 24k collection that I must have <3<3 <3 they wash out so easily and work so well, but storing is a pain

I am really happy about this year's color story. I am mainly excited for the dazzlespheres, the mineralize eyeshadows, and snowglobe powder. I'm probably gonna pick up the warm palette too, depending on how everything swatches. I've been collecting holiday palettes since delights (except for tartan tale - I didn't like anything). I was really hoping MAC would do something sparkly white and a repromote of lightscapade, so I'm pleased :3 now if only the tendertones would be confirmed...?

after seeing those swatches i am sticking to my two items from this collection.... She-zam and lets skate paint pot. Nothing is really grabbing me yet.

I want to get a few items from some of the other collections and it being so close to christmas im being good.... well hopefully i can be.
