MAC Glitter and Ice Discussion

Wow, I'm super excited for the 226se everything in that set is perfect for travel! Hopefully, the 226se brushes are pointy!

I saw this collection briefly at the MAC counter last week. Oddly the one item I wanted to check out most -Fabulously festive face kit warm- wasn't on display. A new item -the Exclusive festive frost face kit- which wasn't included in the promotion info was all they had. The MA said that will be the only kit selling at the Bay counters (a Canada department store). Anywho, a little different then what I was expecting, I'll have to go back again to take a better look. The MA called the palette "the neutral face kit". It has expensive pink and embark eyeshadow. The lipgloss was interesting, brownish/neutral/nude color that had tiny brownish beads in it:S Thats from memory and the best I can describe it I'm assuming most know about it already, but I hadn't read much about it or seen a pic posted other than on this site: http://www.beautyscene.nl/p/54841/mac_glitter_and_ice_-_ice_parade_-_nl_release_5_november_201. So yeah a little out of luck but if anyone is able to swatch the lipstick/gloss and blush from the -Fab festive face kit Warm- to show us unfortunate small town folk that would be awesome! That's the one I swatched. It's an awesome kit.

I'm optimistic that everybody who sees this collection in person seems to like it overall and find a couple things they love

I'm interested in that dark paint pot. I hope it sheers out well.

I was at my MAC counter yesterday and they had everything out, of course it was only for pre-sale. I ordered the For Effect paint pot which did sheer out nicely - it almost looked dark grey. It also had a good amount of shimmer.

The Let's Skate was so pretty in the pot but for me it was too light.

I tried almost all the lipsticks and they were either too dark or very sheer so I passed on them.

The beauty powders are so gorgeous but I noticed on Temptalia that almost all the collections coming up have beauty powders. Since I don't have one yet I didn't want to rush into a decision.

The glosses are nice but they too were sheer and very glittery and I think I am past the age for a super glittery lip.

I never buy palettes so I didn't look too closely at them but I will say all the packaging was really lovely.

!!!! It's so pretty!!!! I'm seriously going to have to pre-order some of the kits!

I'm pretty sure my wallet just ran away screaming.

Does the gray p/p shear out to anything like Benefit's Strut? If so, I can pass this collex up. That would be a blessing, because it's time to buy more foundation and Sephora's Friends and Family Event is coming up.

For Effect sounds promising to me. I really like dark shades that can be sheered out without being patchy.

None of the lipsticks really appeal to me either but I love the look of the white packaging so I might cave.

Beauty Powders are a great product but they're pretty sheer so many look similar and you get a lot in each one so it makes sense to be selective. These ones sound nice though and I do like the packaging.

For Effect is like dark soul but with some ice thrown in/on, making it a bit dark silvery grey.. it is not glittery and messy tho like the Champale disaster was... for anyone looking for a dark pp to smoke out or wear sheer.. this is a lovely solution.

I'm super tempted to go to a MAC counter tomorrow and pre-order my goodies so I don't have to test my luck with the website when the items launch. I want Snowglobe bp and Shimmermint e/s for sure, and I have a feeling those are going to be two hot items.
