Wow, I'm amazed at all you gals who skipped the EDSFs and/or shadows. The formulas are so fantastic.....the SFs are so beautifully sheer - they instantly sculpt your whole face with a few quick swipes, without having to fuss with a lot of other products or special placement and without adding a lot of color - just the barest nuance and only if you want it. Otherwise, it's just a beautiful and naturally radiant finish.

The shadows are maybe colors you've seen before, but with perfect texture, blendability and buildability. For me, Dark Dare is an absolute must - it makes all my other black shadows irrelevant. Also Young Venus does for the eyes what the EDSFs do for the face on my skin tone (Sweet Heat or Havana could be the same, depending on yours). I can't even imagine where there is room for improvement with these.

If you can resist them, go for it - just don't have a drastic case of Skipper's Remorse later on!!

Me too. If I had to chose between the ED collection and HC, there's no doubt that I would pick ED. The texture is just perfection and they are long-wearing, basically everything that is desirable in a product.

nobody altruistic enough to swap or sell a superb EDSF? I was relying on the "it will come to spain if you like WoG or hear good reviews" but...nope!

There are quite a few on ebay if you really want one (prices don't seem to be too evil).

Sigh. I want Young Venus and Dark Dare badly, but I sprained my ankle at football practice and can't work. Since I'm a waitress, I make no money if I'm out. Hopefully it heals soon because I'm an athlete and cannot stand being in bed and also not feeding my makeup obsession.

I'm one of those people who skipped all the edsf's and only got 1 shadow. Your post enabled me to go on the MAC site and order 3 more. Dark dare Lunar and Havanah.

and on an extra dimension related note:

I used Modern Pewter today on a woman along with Dynamic Duo 3 from Reel Sexy, and it was hot! Modern Pewter on the lid, the matte teal from DD3 in the crease with a little bit of carbon at the edges to deepen it up. It turned out really well =] Made me even more excited that i got both of those products already ^_^

Our color maybe similiar, but I do think or tones are different. Im going to post a pic and have you all tell me. LOL
I'm going to do what you described. I kinda can see it in the pic. You look pretty, do you have that fold in your eyelid too? I always need new ideas on how to create looks with this "issue".

If not, I'll just pass this along to my mother.

thanks pretty packages. i'm not sure whether i have a fold on my eyelid...the picture shows my eyes pretty accurately, but not so sure about the rest of my face! i think i need to sort out the best way to take pics...

i haven't used havana on it's own yet (without rich core) but i might try that out tomorrow and see how i feel about it. so far i like these shadows, but i feel like on their own they seem to lack a little oomph...

and i tried out superb for the first time today with a 187, and nothing appeared on my skin. what am i doing wrong? maybe i need the special brush...but i can't afford it!!!

Found a Superb BU and I plan to pick up Rich Core and maybe Dark Dare or Modern Pewter later today. I' m love with formula of these shadows and skin finishes! MAC hit it out of the ballpark with this collection.
