have you guys had any problems with the suntints?? i got au rose but after 25 min of wearing my lips feel dry and flaky. i really like the color but i think ill stick to the tendertones. it really sucks because i wanted the spf ,the lasting power and the pretty color for those days in the pool.

The beige overlay is pretty thick and it won't be gone anytime soon, even if you use it everyday.

For those who have a medium or dark skin tone and find that the color doesn't work well on them, I suggest removing the beige overlay.

It has been ridic hot in London this past week too and I have been rocking Jaunty over Morning Frost almost every day....LOVE IT! And I'm not usually a "light wash of color" kinda gal, but this is really working for me. And great with a red lip (waiting on Red Racer, but looks fab with Heartless).

I love Jaunty for a wash of colour for those days when I don't have time or don't feel like doing a more complicated look, it's like a summer version of Let's Skate!

It's cold up in Scotland :( I think we had our two days of sunny summer last week and now it's autumn... I've been wearing SLV almost every day though.

I haven't tried Riviera Life or Send Me Sailing, but they've gotten raves by other Specktrettes! I might end up with Riviera Life, still on the fence with it! It definitely is a beautiful lipglass though

I meant to do this over the weekend but laziness took the best of me!
Here I am wearing Sail La Vie. I'm surprised at how...UN-orange it seems on my lips! Eeeee, I might have to try a more orange liner, maybe? Then again, night time with flash and macro on the camera might be toying with the color a bit, too. HMM.

I used Lasting Sensation lip liner, applied SLV with a lip brush, and dabbed just a small little dot of Hush, Hush tendertone in the center of the lips to add some shine.


No matter how orange or not orange it is, I would like to thank Pixie for inspiring my purchase! I'm really digging it, and you're right it is Scarlet Ibis' casual sister!

MAN!! I just KNEW SLV would look fantastic on you! WOW!! I'm REALLY liking it a lot from your photo! You definitely need to wear that OFTEN this summer! You were easy to enable because it was an easy guess that it would look this great on you... REPEAT... I haven't seen a lippie on you that I didn't LOVE!! You look gorgeous! Perfect eye makeup too! YAY!!

GlamQueen- Thank you :) I caved and bought it online last night :-( I'll def see if I love it enough for a BU, though. I'll PM you when I get it and see how it works! Pixie - you're so sweet thank you again! :) I'm glad you poked me to buy it! Lol. My Skipper's Remorse never would have imagined what I would be missing out on! I should upload a picture of Salute just for kicks...seriously it's soooo weird on me! Lol! I'm still racking my brain to make it useable. It's just so...orange! My Naked Liner failed to make it workable, too. I'm wondering if Riviera Life would work with it, hmmmmm lol I agree- Shellcat let's see that pic of you wearing SLV!! *pokepokepoke* haha

Bawahahaha!!! I wore it Monday! But didn't take a pic, and today I had a bad makeup day. Was in too much of a rush this morning! LOL!

Alrighty, I wanted to show everyone the power of Cut Loose lipglass. It's NOT meant to be worn alone. Cut Loose is an overlooked jewel in the Hey, Sailor collection. Below is a picture of me using Cut Loose with Sail La Vie lipstick

For comparison purposes, here's what Sail La Vie looks like with no gloss or liner. I like SLV alone and with the combo above. The Sail La Vie / Cut Loose combination is something I'd do for work days at the counter or those nights my friends and I hit the town. I wore Sail La Vie alone when I went out to dinner with my boyfriend and the staying power was great. As an artist and a makeup lover, it's important to explore the "unusual" products and come up with different ways to use all of your products. I sold a lot of the Cut Loose lipglasses after I showed the girls different ways to use it. They all came back to tell me how much they loved it. Lol ^__^ which is another reason why I love what I do.

Since I was unable to find Red Racer anywhere in the States, I was on a mission to go to every MAC store/counter I could find while traveling in Europe over the last couple of weeks. I find it in Mykonos and ended up walking out without purchasing it - the SA was completely overbearing and I had to get out of there. It seemed everything I asked for, she would try to sell me something else instead. I'm kicking myself now for not pushing through that and getting it anyway.
