Well I ordered 3 from this collex and now I wondering if I should get the 163 brush. If you saw it, is it a "must," a "nice to have" or a skip? Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Nice to have! The make up artist used it on me to apply face and body foundation and the sculpting cream under the cheekbone.

Dustin Hunter has amazing swatches and a video review:

@ the video.

I'm still unsure if I should keep the eye brush. I really don't like it much and can't see myself getting a lot of use out of it, if any.
These are great swatches. Why do I feel like I should take a look at Coffee Walnut and Naturally Defined now? Haha!

ETA: Those pressed pigments look really nice in his swatches too.

Dustin is hilarious. I love watching his videos. I have to say my brush didn't come with a funky smell. It wasn't hard for me to wash either. Now the bad side is-the contour cream just doesn't work for me. It looks like poo smeared on my face. Ashy poo. Now, I know my way around contour products, but this shade/texture just isn't right for me. Bummer. An even bigger bummer is I tossed the box so I can't return it. I like the brush. I didn't find it hard to blend or apply the contour cream or anything. However, I have enough foundation brushes. If I'm not using this for a contour cream, I think I might as well return it. So, I'm returning the brush and the pressed pigment. Mac got me, indeed and I didn't have any lube.

This is just too much. Ashy poo Shontay? LOL! That is terrible! I'm sorry that one didn't work out for you. I'm going to try mine tomorrow.

ETA: Is it just the shade? Or the texture too? Do you think that maybe you should've tried Coffee Walnut or Richly Honed?

Coffee Walnut freaks me the hell out. It looks like poo you'd push out after eating too much green veggies. Richly Honed I think is just not the right shade. I think it's both the shade and the texture. It's not the easiest to blend (either with the Mac brush or my fingers) and the color, while almost blending with my skin, is just...ashy. It just doesn't work. I'll just have to go back to my mufe sculpting powder duo.

Seriously Coffee Walnut looks like poop. I love Dustin and that video truly was hysterical and sad at the same time. What on earth is this company thinking sometimes with these products and the quality of their products? They need to get it together and quick.

MAC-Guy says CW isn't for yellow skintones (of which I am). All the pics I've seen it seems to look ok on lighter/paler skintones.

She's wearing Uncommon Blushcreme but you can kind of see the CW underneath. It doesn't look bad on her or the model above.

I am seriously wiping the tears out of my eyes and picking myself up off the floor!

After reading everyone's comments - especially Shontay's and Richelle's and

watching Dustin's video (LOVE HIM!), I'm no good! I'm done! Please - no mas!

I'm gonna put my poor bank card back in its worn slot in my wallet and stick with Blunt blush and 168 brush for contouring.

I don't need to be a**f***** by MAC right now.

I have enough drama going on without dragging my beloved make-up into anything.

That's all for now!

And my intuition was right about passing up on this 163 brush -- from it's look and usage. It's very similar to the Sonia Kashuk brush from Target which I bought (and returned after) specifically in use for contouring for drag. I had a challenging time getting the brush to blend and I felt that I had to use another brush to blend my contour powder, just like Dustin mentioned in his video. I felt like the brush's main use for was targeting where the contour should be placed and that was it.

im kind of sad and not sad. im not getting the sculpting creams cause i dont contour and the only time i have done it, i used pressed amber blush. i didnt want the pressed pigments but if they are like the tom ford shadows, i may give them a try. sam from pixiewoo was wearing a cool eye look and said she would not film a video on it, because she used one of the tom ford shadows, that are expensive and hard to get. i wanted the brushes but i dont think ill use them specially the 163 one. i really wish dusty had swatches of all the pressed pigments. sad cause i may skip it all, but not sad cause oct and nov are going to be expensive.

Thanks sss215. I meant that I thought the sculpting creams and pressed pigments are too advanced for me. I just didn't know how to use the brushes or what they're meant to do. Your explanation and the video Naynadine posted are very helpful (and hilarious!).
