Coffee walnut is fab- I think the whole green issue has been blown out of proportion. It's just that we are used to seeing warm toned/tan/bronzer contour products. The main thing is that cw works as a fantastic contour product on my cool toned pale skin. I apply it with a 188 just under my cheek bones and it creates a great shadow. I also got naturally defined for when I want a more subtle effect like down my nose. I also picked up accentuate and the 2 brushes. I haven't tried the eye brush yet but the cheek brush is great. I use the edge of the brush to apply accentuate to my cheekbone and then use the face and other edges to blend it out. It creates a beautiful natural highlight. I also got a pressed pigment which I haven't played with yet. I was treating myself because I just had a beautiful baby boy last week!
Congratulations on your new bundle of joy!

I know CW is getting a bad rap but it's obvious that while it may not be for everybody (just like the same shade of foundation isn't for everybody), there will be some that it looks great on. It looks great on the models that we've shown here in this thread.

I've ordered it and after trying it in store I have to agree with Edelmc, it looked good on me even though I'm quite tan and all its a really nice change from your typical orange based contouring products we use. It was sold out in two local MAC stores near me - and none of the others were sold out!!!!! I agree with MAC guy it looks good on the right skintone if used and blended properly!
Hey... I like my 163!!!

I'm not sure where the smelly-and-hard-to-wash issues come from. Has anybody else issues?

I don't have any of those problems with the 163 (I got four of them). I'm using baby shampoo on the one that I use for powder contouring and I use brush cleanser on the one that I use with my CCB's (or Pro Sculpture Creams). I usually wash them immediately after using them and they are dry the next day (and so are my other brushes. The only one that takes longer to dry is the 179, but as it is thick, I do expect a longer dry time).
I ordered both brushes before reading any reviews here or watching the smelly-and-hard-to-wash issues video. NO REGRETS!
I'm a brush collector and have found application and use for every one of them. I wash and condition them after every use and use MAC brush cleanser on the really dense brushes like the Kabukis. I can't help myself. I love them. I've done everything just short of giving them pet names. I need help...please don't hate me. My husband doesn't get it...he says he's pretty certain Michaelangelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel with ONE brush, so why do I need so many brushes for one little face?

Your opinion is very helpful. I actually ordered but have not yet received my Coffee Walnut. After all of the reviews and comments I was feeling a tad worrisome. Now I can't wait to get it!

Best wishes and much happiness with your new baby!

Verdict is out on this Richly Honed. I'm going to try it tomorrow and see but as of right now, I might have better options. I'll see. It's giving me a nice shadow, but I want something a little more. There's something I just can't put my finger on.

I couldn't agree more. CW is a dream for pale NW complexions.

Congratulations on your new baby :)

It appears the brush that is "smelly-and-hard-to-wash," is quite popular & has sold out online. Both brushes from Face & Body are showing as SOLD OUT!
I'm glad I got my BU's

Not surprised at all that the brushes sold out, especially the contouring brush. I know a lot of people have been waiting for a good MAC contouring brush and MAC delivered.

ehh the hype died down for me. Im going to just skip. I think i can just work with my MUFE camouflage palette to do my contouring. I'd rather save my money for some chanel illusion d'ombre ive been eyeing

Is anyone interested in swapping Naturally Defined (which I have) for Pure Sculpture? I'll also ask this in the clearence bin. And a face & body in C5 (which I have) for mm C1 or C2 (I've received naturally defined and C5)
Europe only
Thanks *____*

So excited for you. Becoming a mother is simultaneously one of the best and scariest things you'll do in life. Enjoy those squishy baby cuddles while they last.

I ordered mine from Nordstrom.com. They have free ship in the U.S., and also ship internationally now (international isn't free tho sadly).
