I've bought almost every new MAC brush that's come out in the past 2 years, and there's only been one that I've regretted (the 234 - I have no clue what to use it for!) I'll think about it...
I think I use it mostly for under eye concealer :)

Thanks, I'll have to try that!

I really really love HA l/s - I'm trying to talk myself out of backing it up! It's such a pretty pink

Also, I have FINALLY found a MAC foundation pale enough for me!! Studio Fix in NW10 is perfect

Dry swatches of Ice, Silver Birch, Modern Pewter EDES (for Corally) and Fireside

They really are SO much better wet - lots and lots more depth, shimmer and pigmentation!
I think it's really interesting how Fireside looks more brown on you compared to how it looks on me.

(You can sort of see the green duochromey-goodness of Fireside in this picture) Dry swatches of Ice, Silver Birch, Modern Pewter EDES (for Corally) and Fireside They really are SO much better wet - lots and lots more depth, shimmer and pigmentation!
Thanks Gracie!! To me Silver Birch looks like a less pigmented version of Modern Pewter.. What do you think?

I really love these Mineralize Lip Balms. They are so moisturizing. I love the feel of them on the lips so much that I have been wearing them around the house. Someone said earlier (sorry I can't find the post to quote it) that they would be permanent but right now the website says limited edition. I do wish there was a plain one. I wouldn't mind if it replaced the regular lip balm. I like these much better than the tendertones. Hope they do come back but in a much larger size. They are just too tiny.

The only thing I got from this collection was Stereo Rose. I LOVE it. I've been wearing it as a highlight, especially with passionately tempted blush! It works perfectly with my skin tone.

I am very excited for these and cannot wait to try them.

I plan on adding some Glitter Reflects (Stay Warm + Transparent Pink, Rosy Romance + Transparent Teal and Blue e.g.) to
them if I want them more sparkling.
Has anyone tried this yet?Does it work?

Thank you for all the swatches Gracie!!!!! They are really helpful :) If you buy Frost at Midnight (purpley blue one) will you please swatch that one too? I am pale like you and wondering how it will turn out on UK winter skin.....LOL.

Of course! I think I may have to go back for it tomorrow if Debenhams is actually open. On me it was a really lovely deep blue/purple with muticoloured shimmers - I really should have just got it then and there!

It's sort of resolved. I decided to just buy Cozy Up at the mall yesterday. I wasn't sure if I'd like the color and it would be much easier for me to return it to the store if I didn't like it instead of having to ship it back to MAC. I called to request a refund and was told I needed to wait 7 business days to make sure the lipstick wasn't shipped separately by mistake. I have to call back Wednesday to request my refund.
Sounds Good!

While I was at the mall, I also picked up Fireside MES, Warm Companion lipstick and an Apres Chic BU. I wanted to get a Hot Chocolate BU, but the stores were sold out. Thank goodness I ordered one online last night since Hot Chocolate is sold out now. The 205 brush also ended up in my cart.
The colors in Fireside sort of just drew me in, and then ElegantOne endorsed it, so then I was all-in! That 205 brush is super-cute isn't it? I have yet to use mine but it's cute!

I like Cozy Up. It's definitely a peach nude on me. I like it a lot better than Peachstock because it's darker and more peach. I barely wear Peachstock because I have to baby it too much. Cozy Up falls in the middle of Peachstock and Spice for me. I forgot how much I love Spice lipstick. I'm so glad that I have a BU for it. However, I don't feel the need to get a BU for Cozy Up.
Peachstock is one of my go-to lippies w/a black smokey eye. I love mattes so I hope I love my Cozy Up.

I'm not sure how I feel about Warm Companion. I may return it. I agree that it's like a frost Cusp of Dawn. I think I'm not a fan of frost lipsticks in general, although I love Ruffian Gold and Grey Friday. I'm going to play with it some more before returning it. I saw someone mention that they applied it to the center of their lips like a highlight. I'll give that a try.

Prettypackages raved about Warm & Cozy and topped it w/MLB in Nice & Simple. Trusting her judgement, I ordered both. We'll see how it turns out. Don't give up just yet.

I didn't pay attention to the veining of my Fireside. I took whatever the MUA gave me when I was at the register. I'll see if I can get pics later. The tester I swatched appeared like a plum brown on me. I don't know if the one I bought will look the same way.

Ice and Silver Birch MES are the only things I have left to get from this collection. But I swatched them again yesterday, and they both look very similar on my skin. Now I'm not sure I need to get both. Do any of you think they're very similar?
Fireside was the only MES that grabbed my attention.

I think it will be beautiful over other brown or burgundy eye shadows. I really like the color.
That's a GREAT idea---elegant actually
