It was just really bright. I think I looked good, but I'm not sure if my lipstick did if that makes sense. I'm used to people looking at me in public spaces, but this time was different. I don't think I was imagining it. My daughter was with me and she said I looked pretty, but was unsure about the lipstick.

Yeah that makes perfect sense MissTT. I know how that feels tho. Same thing happened to me when i wore Quick Sizzle. One girl at a Sephora complimented me on it but others in the mall were looking at me with that stare you don't know what to think. I guess the only thing that matters is what you think and feel about yourself right?

Exactly. I figured you'd know what I meant. Tons of people wear it and rock it. I tend to favor dark reds so it was out of my comfort zone. Deeply Adored is my HG red. I finally tried Charmed I'm sure a couple of weeks ago and learned I was sleeping on that one. It's my second favorite of the collection now and probably my #2 red overall. I don't reach for Love Goddess at all. A pink red bores me. Then SI has gone out of the house twice. Once the time I described and I recall another time I just dabbed it on and went to someone's house. I'll try it again, but it's hard to when I have other colors that I know look great and make me feel confident. A MUA used Pure Zen w/ me last month and I wasn't sure about it. However, since then I've been rocking a nude lip and would consider Pure Zen. Right now I'm using Freckletone.

I'm so happy you ladies say you get stared at when you wear bright lips! I wore ablaze fully applied (out of my comfort zone) and got stared at lol my fiancé said it looked pretty so u believed him lol I'm used to getting stared at but still makes you wonder "gosh does this color look stupid?" Lol

Lol mine isn't used to some colors like bright pink or orange. Red I'm guessing he's good cause he's a perv lol and he likes coral but something like watch me simmer I don't exactly get a "wow babe that looks great" so sometimes I just have to say whatever it's fashion lol

I'll be honest. I've only worn it once and it was absolutely terrifyingly bright. I was also new to lipstick so I may be less afraid of it now. Today I'm wearing Ablaze if that says anything. I remember walking through the mall seeing people stare at me. I texted CartoonChic in a panic. One SA did compliment me on it. I can't say if I looked good or bad. I couldn't read the stares I was getting. I took them to be bad b/c people weren't smiling at me they were just gawking. CC said it was b/c I looked gorgeous.

They were staring because they wish they had your lipstick!

Lol too funny! My husband loves me in reds and neutrals...and yes he's a perv lol jk I do like to switch up the colors now and then. He's not a fan of bright, neon lippies on me as well as purples. I don't blame him for hating the purples tho because i can't seem to make them work. If it makes us feel pretty and happy i say why the hell not.

I might want to give this one a try as well. My favorite nude/neutral lippies have to be Marquise'D and Cozy Up.

Lol what a typo but you guys knew what I meant lol. Mine doesn't say too much about dark purples.. I tell him being a vampire is in lol I think he likes it? I know he likes make up (he doesn't ever pull the I like natural girls bs line lol) so I just rock whatever I want. As long as he likes it I don't care too much about other people's opinion, unless I look completely STUPID lol

which lipsticks should i get? i do not generally wear red lipstick, hence my only red lipstick is the who wore it redder by maybeline..i just do not know if i can pull off a red lip. any suggestions that might suit me?

I can't pull off reds if it meant my life. For some reason my yellow-asian undertones aren't very red-lip friendly. BUT, red-oranges...now that's another story. I always grab scarlet ibis or when I'm in need of a red lip and it received compliments all the time!

Im nc45 and I cant pull it off. Wayyyy to orange on me, I sold it asap on makeupalley Im just not there yet with bright orange lips

I use chili when I want a orangey dark red. Its a weird not bright but stands out. I love chili and feel comfortable wearing it out or at work
