I realize it is personal preference regarding the special packaging. I was interested in whether or not waiting was worth it due to supply and demand. There are many who feel differently about the packaging than you do.

I think the frenzy may be even higher when it comes to the SP stuff...based on all the chatter on here and all over the net by people saying they are either waiting or definitely doing SP backups. Just my opinion but it seems like fans always want the stuff that stands out in the packaging...even if they don't like the actual makeup inside. Rihanna has a hardcore fan base so I'm sure they will be all over the SP because her signature is on it (maybe even more so than it being on the actual product).

PBI: She was just giving her opinion. It doesn't mean you are entitled to yours. I was reading your post and thinking that this thread and your own reasoning answered your question. You want backups and you want it in special packaging. You know you are one of many who specifically want the special packaging, so it will be just as much of a madhouse (or worse) to grab a backup in special packaging.

Still an easy skip for me. I'd get the blush tho, if it wasn't a Rihanna collection.

When i buy makeup, i buy it for the makeup itself (especially when i can get it sooner, rather than waiting 3 months to buy it and paying extra for special packaging that really isn't that special).

I'm in the minority who doesn't care for special packaging. In my opinion, I just care about the product but that's just me. I know everyone is different on that aspect and that's okay!

That is kind of strange. I would think it would be opposite too if they were gonna do that, with more blush than bronzer.

what im doing is getting the backups in reg packaging and just getting 1 riri woo lipstick in special packaging as a "collectors item" type of thing lol i dont want to pay extra money for the special packaging since it is going to be more money itll start adding up. but if you could afford it go ahead!

btw may i ask how are you able to multi quote within a quote. i've been trying to do that ever since ive joined and you seem to do that a lot so i must know! lmao

Well in that case, the special packaging is gonna sell out faster, and people are gonna miss out on stuff they wanted to get.

:agree:   I've never purchased makeup with the sole intention of having it in "special packaging" because I purchase with the intent to use it. Not to mention I prefer not to pay more than I have to for anything lol. Besides...for those items I use up I do want the option to B2M them (wish other brands offered a program like this). I don't think you can do that with special packaging. And unless I purchase special packaging items with no intent on using them (for collection purposes) then I have no clue what I'm supposed to do with the empty special packaging once it's gone. Not knocking anyone that loves SP stuff...I'm just not that crazy about it. Of course...I say this while knowing full well I don't often use up ALL of any of my makeup (only been able to B2M eye shadow packaging because I went on a depotting frenzy...otherwise, the stuff I have B2M was packaging from stuff like brush cleanser, moisturizer, etc.). 

Yes hun, you can turn in special packaging for B2M, so use it up!!! :haha:

:agree: People will be buying this regardless if the makeup/colour is good or not. The name, the packaging and the hype will make it sell out faster.

Yup! I depot almost all special packaging anyway! HK quad-depotted. WW quad-depotted. LoL-depotted! And RiRi Boy is killin me!!!

It automatically does it when I hit quote. If I am doing something cool I have no idea how LOL.

I think you have to go to your settings and tick a box somewhere. I know you can change it somewhere, but don't remember where.

I want it. I am just not sure whether I can keep myself from buying the first release because I would love it in the sp too. Now RiRi will get loved no matter which packaging but I'm not sure I'll be needing the blush x2...

maybe i can still use it as a bronzer though (not contour but really to bronze my skin lol) because i have The Soft Meow blush and i use that as a bronzer even though its a blush

Riri Boy and Heaux will be mine! I have UTA, but the mattes are my fav and I know I'll end up using the matte version a ton more.
