MAC All About Orange Collection (June 2013)

Thanks, Erine!  I do already own Typographic.  What other shades would you recommend?  The greyish eye shadows I already own are:  Nighttrain, Warm Thunder, Weathered, Silver Ring, Scene, Knight Divine, Electra, Idol Eyes, Print and Crystal.  Is this overkill?  Is there a grey shadow that I don't already own, but should own?  Thanks for your input.  What about the blushes I have mentioned a few posts ago.  Do you think I should get one of the blushes to round out my peach blush collection, or just give it a rest?  Thanks again!  

Vex. Everyone needs vex. The blushes in this collection are softer colours, so if you aren't partial to soft/light colours, I'd say skip. If they suit your skintone tho, definitely take a look at RS. But who am i to talk? I have 126 MAC blushes, with no signs of stopping! :haha:

Yep, I forgot to mention I do have Vex. I love that color. I would have to say that Cubic is one of my favorite blushes. I have (but never really use) the infamous NARS Orgasm blush, but it doesn't do much for me at all. There isn't enough pop.

Since you have so many blushes, I have to ask, how many eye shadows and lippies do you have? I can hardly wait to hear the answer to this one!

We have the same skintone & problem haha I'm trying to figure out the blushes too. I own IF from a previous release & I'd say you can def skip that one, it doesn't do much on our skin - I'm kind of leaning towards RS in the non-direct sunlight it looked really pigmented, but in direct sunlight not as much, ahh can't the bloggers just receive their samples already!

I'm really interested in RS. I was thinking of getting IF but I'll skip it like you said. I feel like HJ would be close to RFL which I have so I can skip that. Hopefully RS will work for us NC40 cuties.

I agree. I am NC30 and I find that Immortal Flower hardly shows up on me. I read a few pages back and someone suggested scraping the top layer off, and I did, so it is slightly more pigmented than it used to be, but the colour's not anything remarkable... it is a bit too subtle on medium or tanned skin. I'm still on the search for a orangey-peach blush and I think that Honey Jasmine might be it. Though, I wonder if anyone recalls the mineralized blush Nuance? The swatch on the previous page of Honey Jasmine, Blazing Haute and Immortal Flower rather reminds me of Nuance.

Do you have Ripe For Love? I'm thinking of skipping HJ because I have it. But then again I'm not sure how close the two really are.

I found IF at my CCO today and snatched it up. It looks amazing on my skin, and with a light hand the pigmentation is great as you demonstrated!

I wouldn't even know where to begin to count my shadows! But as for my lips, this is my lip drawer (not counting the 25 or so lipsticks/glosses in my purse and the dazzle/cremesheen glass bin in the back of the drawer)

Based on T's swatch of WoC, compared to my swatch of HJ, they do look similar.

Well they have different finishes, that's for sure. How often do you wear WoC? It's a very orange-based coral for sure. If it's a colour you wear a lot, I'd say go for it. Besides, it could be your WoC BU! :haha: And thank you! If you can't tell, I'm very OCD!

During spring/summer I wear WoC pretty often, haven't worn it for months though because the weather is just s***. It's actually a really subtle color on me and I think that's why I like it, it's a no fuss blush. Now that I think about it.. it's one of my most used blushes.. I should get HJ don't I?! Haha I'm also very OCD. :lol:

I think my wishlist is Sushi Kiss, Sweet & Sour, and Flamingo! I'll try them on in the store though to make sure I don't buy something that looks bad on me...I feel like Sweet & Sour could definitely possibly go SOUR if it's too pale..!

its not too hard to learn the ways of stalking you'll catch on in no time! Not that I'm a pro by any means but I have managed to catch mostly everything I've wanted. It's definitely possible! If you have a MAC nearby it's always good to sort of make friends with the employees, they can really help you catch things you might otherwise miss. I loove the employees at my MAC store. I'm pretty excited for this collection too since orange is my favorite color!

I have one about 45 mins away, so not technically close. There is one about to open closer, but I can't seem to get a straight answer of WHEN that is. The signs say summer 2013, but I've heard June as well as October... ugghh haha. Yes, orange is not a color I typically think will look good for makeup, but everything in this collection is so fresh and bright! What is your MAC skin color, if you don't mind me asking? I think I'm NW15 (I only have Pro longwear concealer).
