MAC Retro Matte collection (September 12, 2013)

The MUA's have been giving different answers so sadly, at this point it still doesn't seem to be reliable to know what MAC is doing with this collection. I'm on my phone so I can't tell but if you can still see the lipsticks listed as one of the ones you can b2m for online then theoretically you should be able to b2m for them in store. Might want to print that out like Erine mentioned awhile ago just in case the counters give you a hard time.

Thanks for the tip. I don't see them listed. Is there anyway else I can get the list with them on it ?

Yea that's what I thought until I showed up in store with my empties and they all said no. This is a sad day in my B2M world and only Dangerous and Relentlessly Red are listed online under the B2M lipstick choices. I was attempting to B2M for FOF and AFU.

So far I got:
- Flat out Fabulous + Fashion boost
- All fired up
- Fixed on drama

I haven't tried Fashion Boost, but from viewing it online I felt that it may be a tad too purple for FOF, unless you're looking to make FOF more purple toned (plus I already own Heroine l/l so I am not craving a purple l/l at the moment). More to Love comes off more fuchsia and plum like FOF, and when worn together they pair nicely with no obvious difference in color.

My problem with Steady Going I noticed is that it shows the lines in my lip, even when I use Prep + Prime before and exfoliated early in the morning before I went in.

Perhaps Dynamo? I haven't seen it in person yet but it looks like a gorgeous vibrant hot pink that leans to the warm toned side. It looks like it would pair nice with AFU.

Mac needs to get it together with the b2m program that's why I always order what I really want online and b2m for my bu.thats not right they did that and we still don't really know for sure what lippies if any are le

That sucks for all you ladies ;( my Mac Pro sure says you can b2m for whatever as long as its not in limited edition packaging (special packaging) wish all mac stores were on same page

Well, I think we were thinking that Fashion Boost pairs with FOF because the model in the promo photo for the collection supposedly is wearing those two together... I mean that was really the reason why I even wanted FOF in the first place. But I guess we all know better than to trust promo photos since they sometimes don't even use the items from the collection or even from the brand during the shoot. (Colour Craft collection, anyone?)

But if anyone has tried wearing the two items together, and the lipstick alone, feel free to share your thoughts and your photos!

According the the MUA from this morning, all the lipsticks are going to be PERMANENT. But the lip liners are not with the exception of the few liners in the retro matte collection that is already on the perm line.

Yep, mine said the same thing. Showed me the update book and just like what Erine has been saying all along, squares(perm) next to each lipstick. I didn't check on the liners though.

No B2M because this is a new collection per the update book -_-

This must have been a recent update then? I spoke to someone on live chat last week who said that Steady Going, Runway Hit and Fixed On Drama were LE. Meh, maybe it was just a ploy to drive up demand. I'm glad to hear the whole line of lipsticks are staying though. Nice to see a bunch of beautiful bright perm colors added to the collection.

No, not a recent update, its from the update book from a month or two ago.

The SA told me that they only received 9 of each lipstick, then after the initial release they'd get the permanent stock. The displays were already adjusted to add all of the new lippies.

They really are identical! I know a lot of people missed out on Heroine lip liner, so if you missed out definitely get Fashion Boost!
