MAC Retro Matte collection (September 12, 2013)

I saw these in person and was disappointed Macy had sold the last FOF. I really liked MTL pencil but was so annoyed at missing FOF I didn't get it yet. I hope these are truly perm and I csn get both later. I snagged AFU instead of RR. I prefer the more pinky coral of it. Steady Going I had to skip. I knew it would look too chalky. Tyrone Biggums for certain.

I just ordered Fixed On Drama from Nordstrom because of this pic! Honey on Boost, you are working this lipstick Honey Boo Boo! This is exactly how I would like for it to look.

But, I'm noticing that it's only looking this fabulously dark on the fairer girls. On the darker girls it's looking lighter and redder than I would like, and I'm a darker girl. Actually, on the darker girls it's looking very similar to how Diva looks on me- too red and not vampy enough. But, I actually think that my Kirsch Mattene lipstick (Cult of Cherry collection) looks very similar to how Honey on Boost's FOD looks- just not as matte.

So, for those who want FOD to look darker, if you have Kirsch you may want to dig it out and compare it to FOD.

Thanks! I heard that the Ruby Woo from this collection has a slightly different forumla, so I was hoping to get a backup before it came out. I love it as it is, and even if that's not true I can't risk it!

My favorite lipsticks and lipliner are Flat Out Fabulous, Runway Hit and Fixed On Drama.The lipliner I really like alot is Fashion Boost.

I'm so happy that this entire collection is permanent so I don't have to cry about items I've missed out on. But I went to my local MAC counter and tried on Runway Hit and it looked horrible on me, so I'm kind of disappointed. I do wanna try Dangerous on now and I want to purchase 2 of the lip liners.

I didn't like RH on me at first either but I went back and tried it on with cork l/l and was happy

You are right about Fixed On Drama pulling more red on darker skin tones. I'm NC44 equivalent and FOD is reddish on me. But that's what I love about it actually. It's a more flattering vamp on my skin than a deeper blackened berry tone.

That's super pretty! I went in last night to buy the VG I gloss, but it already had the beginnings of the rancid smell from the start, so I'm not gonna be able to get it.

my razzledazzler lipglass smelled like that when i received it, too. so did lust, from the perm line. bleh!

I'm sorry Runway Hit wasn't a hit on you. I feel responsible…I'm usually trying to be a well-behaved anti-enabler, but I guess the natural lip color does come into play with this one - who would have thought; it's so opaque!

Hopefully you've found a pencil to combine it with!

Those PLW pencils really put other lip pencils to shame!

Anyhow, the question was what are your favorites from this collection and my answer was:
It's gotta be Runway Hit, but FOF, FOD, Dangerous and RR are all great - hell, that's most of the collection, so maybe I shouldn't be picking a favorite at all!

I tried out FOF yesterday and it was instant love. Even my husband liked it and it didn't transfer when I gave him a kiss! LOL Also tried RR and impressed how this formula wears so well.

Its actually very pretty. I'm going to get In Anticipation to wear under it. I want those pencils in every color possible
