MAC Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Collection (June 5, 2014)

I dont need celeb indorsed anything, but hey if thats what mac is gonna do, then im down for it. as long as the product is good, i have toooo much makeup to buy anything less than awesome, unique or something i would wear all the time!!! and i wont buy anything jus cuz a name, but if its pretty im all over this!!! all cosmetics from department stores use celebrities these days, Dior, Chanel, Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown. I dont mind so much as i dont hate or love celebs. A few stand out to me but all i care about is makeup and playing dress up with it! yay makeup

I am still haunted by the Dame Edna collection. I wasn't really into the packaging (and still am not, tbh) and back then I was into nudes and MLBB shades, so I didn't care for any of the lipsticks. I only picked up one item from the collection, Possum Nose Pink l/g, which I still love. Now, years later, I LOVE the type of lipstick shades that came out with Dame Edna! I will never forgive myself for passing up Gladiola and Coral Polyp. Ugh!

I have been looking for Gladiola since I saw someone post a pic... It's like a legend lipstick!!
I actually wouldn't be surprised if THIS was the collection it gets repromoted...
I could very easily imagine Kelly owning it in the past and wanting to bring it back!!
Now I'm getting my hopes up!! =P

You know, I never really understood why some people wouldn't buy anything from the RiRi collections just because it was Rihanna - but now, since they've announced that Kelly Osbourne will be a collab partner I can totally understand that. I do like Sharon, though. Saw her on the X Factor UK and she is fantastic and funny and just honest. Kelly on the other hand - ughs. Don't like her at all. If they do something like the Archie's collection from last year (offering separate colourstories - Betty and Veronica) I'll probably just buy from Sharon's line. :haha: It depends on the colours, though. We'll see. I don't have any preferences or wishes.

I'm with you. Sharon is tolerable, but Kelly gets a hell no. She's not even fashionable. However, I think the color story will be good here. Looking forward to seeing it. If it's boring, I'm skipping. I don't like them enough to sacrifice my no-buy if it's weak.

They've always done them. It's a MAC thing so I don't know what the problem is.

Sure they've always done them, doesn't mean i have to like it. I didn't like it when i worked there either. I just think they're stupid. Celebs just slap their name on shit anymore. They don't care. It's the name that sells the product, not the product itself. More than half the people here have already mentally bought Kelly's lipstick and all they've seen in the packaging alone. It's hilarious!

I was surprised when this was announced never saw that coming from Mac. I feel differently I can't stand Sharon lol. But Kelly I love cause she has that I don't give a F*ck attitude. I think she is very fasionable she wears what she likes and pushes the norm of fashion sense. She doesn't follow trends as much as others do in the fashion industry she is definetly not a follower. I think her collection would include some fun bright colors

I see that. My train of thought is that's what comes along with this brand. I'm always going to ride for the lipsticks that come out of celeb collections. They seem to be the better product and best sellers in comparison to the eye shadows.

I agree !! People are suckers for things in cute packaging and Mac knows that it will sell even more if the slap a celebrity name on it. Mac is all about the marketing so sad because they should focus on the product more.

Patiently waiting on color story. It def will be like Archie Girls if they are both coming out with multiple shades and types of products. Also wouldn't be surprised if they leave the eyes to Sharon & lips to Kelly
