Alright I am for sure getting Fiction. Now between Butterscotch or Diesel? Or just get all three?

Should be the easiest decision

I love Hoop! But how dupable is it? Trying to talk myself out of it lol
Hoop looks familiar to pink plaid, even snob a lil bit? I gotta swatch tonight Pink poodle is super cute looks like that fun lippy we all had at some point and grew out of... I might just get it.

Did anyone notice that Temptalia's post says that the lipsticks launch on the 1st and the eyeshadows on the 3rd? Also, there isn't any mention of lipglasses.

Was the collection already available in Europe? I saw the l/s and e/s a while ago on the German site and they were showing as sold out.

I honestly think they do that so they can get a double or sometimes a triple dipping on their shipping rates, or hoping that some will spend enough on each transaction, so that shipping is free. Estee Lauder is a huge company. They have the money and the man power (a huge team in place), to put everything out all at once.

Shipping is free in the US so I don't think they would make that much money from shipping in other countries.

Maybe it's just a way to bring people back to their website to add in one or two other items.

You might both be right. Shipping for pro's is free after $100 minimum (I suspect there are more than a few mac lovers who are artists/etc. Maybe this encourages them to load their carts with staples at the same time?).

Plus, as an advertising strategy it definitely keeps everyone thinking about MAC more frequently. Even those with the 15% off Sephora code for 3/31/14 might be pre-occupied enough to say, "eh, I don't really need anything at Sephora if these mac releases are coming out this week).

I wonder if people are more likely to buy more on different days (two $40 orders on different days "feels" like less than one single $80 order on one day, if that makes sense?)

Didn't they stagger the products last year too? IIRC, that's how I missed out on CYY. Lipsticks one day, e/s one day and l/g another. I was hoping that would not happen this year.

My paperwork mentions nothing about staggering the dates. It says they all launch on the same day, so i wouldn't rely 100% on T's info. Especially since she's missing the glosses completely.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how Butterscotch will look on cool, pale complexions? I really like the look of it, but I'm not sure if it'll make the rest of my face look alarmingly pink! ;)

For the lipsticks, I think I'll get Hoop.

With MAC, you have to move fast on their new collections, or you're left in the dust. They do know they've got you. I think that stinks for the pros. Trust me, MAC gets a TON of money from the pro buyers. Their free shipping policy for the pros is kinda stingy. The only reason I would buy on different days is either that they don't have the items I want listed all at the same time, fear of having buyer's remorse a/k/a impulse shopping.

I think a huge portion of cosmetic purchases, is impulse shopping. Makeup is so near and dear to our heart. It's like a quick fix! If we all really took an honest look at what we already have, we could probably do without making a purchase for quite a while, except for items like brush cleaner, facial cleanser, foundation. I am guilty of this too! I have been wanting (but not needing!) a Bite lipstick that I noticed that my local store doesn't carry. Well, instead of just buying the Lavender lipstick, I figured if I purchased Vento (adding yet another pink lipstick to my lipstick arsenal) plus an extra pencil sharpener, then I would have free shipping.

If I remember correctly, my pro shipping is free after $150.00. I am glad that Sephora's free shipping kicks in at $50.00 for everyone. I think that is more fair. :)
