I just went up to new york in october and loved it! The bf's from there and he misses it It's super expensive to live there though from what I've looked at. You can live in Florida for pretty cheap, it is nice if you've lived upstate forever. I'm sure it would be a nice change from the cold and snow all the time.

I love visiting my family in Florida, it's allergy free heaven for me. I live in Virginia now, but my bf wants us to move to New Jersey so we can live close to all of his family. It is VERY expensive to live there. It would take both of our incomes just to survive and where we're at now, we have plenty of extra cash with just one income.

I've been a city girl all my life .. brooklyn girl to be exact .. city life is all i know when i go to visit family upstate or on long island I don't know what to do with all that silence lol .. yea its expensive i live in a one bedroom apt and my rent is only 950 cause I've lived here for so long but now i crappy 1 bedroom goes for 1,500

i always wanted to live in a small town somewhere in like mississippi or like alabama .. I've been a brooklyn girl all my life.. thats why i love specktra it takes me away from this crazy city you know? i can love makeup here or guys with socks on they're peepees! and not be judged!

I love how Specktra is non judgy ... Small town life is cool for like 3 months and then you're over it. I'm a city girl through and through. When I first moved here when I was younger I asked my parents why there was so much grass and where the mall was lol

WOW! That is a lot of money for an apartment. In my area, you can rent a huge 5 bedroom house in a very good neighborhood for that price.

I have visited both, would love FL, but if he ever gets orders to Ft. Drum, I am considering that a deployment and a 2 year separation.

I was up in Watertown, NY in January visiting a friend who works at Ft. Drum - experienced Lake Effect Snow for the first time (being an East Coast Girl that's saying something)

i knew a guy who that happened to. he met some girl out of state online, liked her picture, went to see her, and it wasnt her at all...not even close to the girl in the pic. supposedly she said the girls pic was her dead cousin.

There were 109 people in my high school graduating class and there are only 250 TOTAL or so in the high school where my kids go. I like that part but I need my city or at least big town conveniences now even though I grew up without them. Like I said earlier, I can live without AC, we haven't had cable in over 5 years, but I NEED Starbucks.

Yeah we pay 798 a month for a one bedroom but it's quite a step up from the awful apartment I was living in before,
