I cannot say if it is more opaque, and this is based on swatches viewed as I don't have Nightshade IRL, but swatches I have seen suggest the color is similar, so same opacity and my recollection of Macroviolet is it applies like a dream, as do most regular fluidlines. Its a great color, I am going to repurchase it instead of Nightshade. It is the only fluidline I ever hit pan on! (which was back in the day before I really started "collecting" but that I hit pan on any product that like means I used it almost all day erday)Does anyone know if Macroviolet is more opaque and less patchy than Nightshade?
I think that settles it. I'm just getting Macroviolet instead.I cannot say if it is more opaque, and this is based on swatches viewed as I don't have Nightshade IRL, but swatches I have seen suggest the color is similar, so same opacity and my recollection of Macroviolet is it applies like a dream, as do most regular fluidlines. On me macroviolet doesnt go oapque in a single go, but is buildable to full opacity. The texture is creamy & smooth, not at all patchy!Does anyone know if Macroviolet is more opaque and less patchy than Nightshade?
I am getting Macroviolet instead and I am on the fence about Copperthorn. I have this idea that I could mix it with something (like Rich Grounds) to get it to apply less patchy. Maybe apply RG first, then a quick swipe of CT over it. Does anybody think that could work? I am probably just rationalizing here because I really like the color (and probably just want to find a use for RG which is sort of meh as a stand alone FL for me)I cannot say if it is more opaque, and this is based on swatches viewed as I don't have Nightshade IRL, but swatches I have seen suggest the color is similar, so same opacity and my recollection of Macroviolet is it applies like a dream, as do most regular fluidlines. I feel the same about them. They are getting the bigI think I'm skipping both Copperthorn and Nightshade. I wanted to love them, but the swatches just aren't doing anything for me anymore. They look way too patchy. I think I will pick up Macroviolet because I do want to try a purple winged liner, and that will just have to be good enough. No one can keep me from Black Ivy, though!!
I currently have a pro palette and a 6 eyeshadow pan sitting in my cart. lol thanks to a suggestion made in the rhps thread.:nanas: I want to get 4 of them and make a quad, and call it the "Moody Blooms" quad. I already have DF and LG. So I would need AL and HM and boom! But what I may do is buy GR, AL, HM and make a quad with DF as I am not overly fond of LG. Love the color, but just not on me.
Wow thank you so much for the detail!Hope that helps anyone who was wondering. Of course, these are from the other collection, not Moody Blooms, but the picture and description sounds the same.
I'm sure you could make it work!I am getting Macroviolet instead and I am on the fence about Copperthorn. Yes!! If Karen was on Specktra she would be the ultimate enabler.Damn, even Karen couldn't make Copperthorn look great and she usually has magical powers that makes everything look like it was made by faeries in a glen filled with waterfalls and rainbows.
you know, I can see this popping up at RHPS collection this fall...
Black ivy is my #1 pick from this collection!I feel the same about them. They are getting the big :fluffy: while Black Ivy as grotesque as it is will be in my cart.
Lucky green is part of permanent line. Cool list of goodiesCopperthorn looks like a maybe still despite poor reviews I think it could work.
Yeah somehow never picked this one up!Lucky green is part of permanent line. Cool list of goodies :cheer:
This is such a good idea, I want to do it! I am torn about the e/s.... I have SO MUCH e/s, but I kinda want DF, GR, AL and HM. It's been awhile since MAC released good LE e/s singles!:nanas: I want to get 4 of them and make a quad, and call it the "Moody Blooms" quad. I already have DF and LG.
