Black Ivy still looks blue-black in the pot, at least to me. I haven't swatched things yet and it looks like there's a separate thread for that. But here's BI, Green Room and BfB pics. I'm happy that GR looks different from Newly Minted so it's a keeper, and Copperthorn looks different from the a Brassy f/l that I have, too. Pics of that shortly.
Glad to hear I wasn't the only person to get Copperthorn. How are you planning on wearing it?
I like the idea of wearing it as a liner, probably on my upper eyelid. It will contrast with almost any shadow, I think. I'm not one to make it blend in, why buy it if I can't even see it?

Yeah, I can totally understand that! My problem is organization and the fact that my life needs to seriously slow down sometimes. I need to keep it simple and swap things out rather than adding to it. Life gets crazy and then my makeup bag in my purse starts getting bigger and bigger---LOL! I mean, how many lipsticks does a person need with them during the day. LOL
At least 7 and 2 or 3 glosses and liners! Some of us like choices!! LOL!

I sometimes put my makeup on at work during the middle of the day so, I do sometimes carry a full makeup bag. Nothing wrong with that, to each his own!

My order arrived! I waited to do my makeup because I knew it would be here by noon.

Today's look:

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick
MAC Mineralize Concealer, LM Secret Camouflage Concealer
Hourglass Diffused Light Ambient Powder

Artistic License (lid)
Haux (transition)
Green Room (as liner and sheered out into corner)
Orb (to blend)
Bare Minerals Flawless Definiting Volumizing Mascara

MAC My Paradise
MAC Shell Pearl

MAC Absolutely It (very lightly)
Moody Blooms

I already knew that I like Artistic License; I'm glad I have it in a full size. I'll wear it more often now that I can depot it and put it in a 15-pan palette. I like Green Room a lot. I have and love both Bottle Green and Plumage; Green Room is different to both and is a great addition to my greens.

I really like Moody Blooms. I will echo Liba that it's sheer and soft but it's hugely flattering. It reminds me a bit of the frosty bronzes I wore in the 80s but in a sheerer, age appropriate (for me now) formula. I'm really glad I got it.

So the collection was a pretty much a skip for me... - as much as excited as I was for the Artistic License, Deep Fixation and Hidden Motive - I found them looking a lot like some of the shades I own. AL - reminded me of lighter version of Expensive Pink and VERY Similar to Urban Decay's "X" eye shadow. DF - looked A LOT like Antiqued eyeshadow (surprisingly texture felt different - Antiqued was more buttery and soft - which I LOVE!). Lastly HM - reminded me of almost the Grape pigment, and other dupable purple shades.

So at the end I only got the Lucky Green eyeshadow - because I did not purchase anything else, and I have been eyeballing it for a while, since its a permanent shade and I did not own anything like it.

For those who want a pink/gold duochrome shadow but find Expensive Pink too orange for your liking, Artistic License is great. The underlying shade of pink is very different. Expensive pink is sort of a darker salmon, while Artistic License is more of a soft pink. I love them both personally.

i sweat excessivly and cant do anything about it my face sweats so i do carry my whole face plus in my purse i have no shame in that. i have my stuff so i can use it lol so i take it with me when i leave the house cuz i wont be back for a while and i have to fix my makeup a few times a day. so im one of those ppl i guess
I do not think it is that, but when I was doing mine at the gym it was a pain because of the temps here and theft. I would be so worried if I had to take it all with me that my clumsy ass would break it all, it would get ruined because I forgot it in the car, or it would get stolen. I know lots of people that leave home at 5 and do not get in until 3am. They take it all and IDK how they do it without panic.

I hate hearing that Deep Fixation didn't feel soft when you swatched it. The one I received is very buttery. It is more matte in comparison to Antiqued, though. Those really frosty shades are often quite buttery. I love antiqued, but I like how Deep Fixation pulls more red while Antiqued pulls more orange-brown. I feel like Artistic License is much less orange than Expensive Pink, too, but I think they would pair well together. I don't have Urban Decay's X. I love Hidden Motive, too. I need to look into the Grape Pigment if they are similar.

Lucky Green is a fun shadow and it has a great formula. I need to find more ways to wear it, though. I'm a little intimidated by it sometimes. I think it might look really pretty with teals like Green Room. I'll have to try that next.

@MandyVanHook just watched your video this morning before I went to work. I loved it! Everything looked great on you, especially Hidden Motive. It made your eyes pop.
@NaomiH I wouldn't worry about the blushes selling out quickly. Take your time if you want and wait for more swatches.

I picked up Artistic License, Copperthorn, and Bred for Beauty and they should be here tomorrow. I considered Black Ivy and while it is pretty I think I'll still end up reaching for my regular black gel liner most of the time whereas with Copperthorn I know for sure I'll use it as an accent on nights out. Hopefully I can get some swatches up after work tomorrow.

Try Lucky Green with purples. I've worn One Off with Nocturnelle and when ever I do I get compliments. Just find a purple that works with it.
I also watched your video this morning and I loved watching it. Can't wait for the next one.

I'm still very much on the fence with this collection. My list was Deep Fixation, Artistic License and Hidden Motive. I'm just not sure if I need more shadows right now and the colors aren't unique to my collection. I think HM would be the most unique, but that's because I don't typically wear purples (they do nothing for my very dark blue eyes). Maybe I should just skip and start saving for bigger and better things in the fall.

Aww, thanks! Yes, I will definitely try that! Maybe I can try it with my new Hidden Motive. My Nocturnelle is awful. I think I got a dud with that one. I hear a lot of differing opinions on it... some people like me have to scrape to get any color to show and some are supposedly really pigmented. It's such a pretty shade... I wish my performed better.

Oh I'm not worried! I think I might even wait until Saturday to prance on up the the counter!

I think they would all look lovely against your eyes, but Deep Fixation and Artistic License especially.

You may have gotten a dud. I feel the same way about Violent Trance. Everyone else says how easy it is to work with it. I have to scrape that color with a spatula to get it to work.

Thank you! Yes, Hidden Motive is great on green eyes! I think it would look stunning on hazel eyes, too.

I hate the differences in quality we all experience. MAC needs to step up their quality control. Like my Deep Fixation feels amazing and buttery, but someone on here said that it felt dry when they swatched it in the store. That couldn't be further from my experience with it.
