What are your current favorite products, Alysse? :flower:
I'm so glad you asked! :pompom: :haha: I love so many things it's hard to choose. I'll go with new products to me in the interest of not writing a complete novel :pompom: For base, I really like mixing the Koh Gen Do Aqua foundation with either their Illuminator or the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. So gorgeous. I recently picked up the RMS Buriti Bronzer from the beauty.com sale and it is my absolute favorite right now! So natural and gorgeous. Then I've been setting makeup with my holiday ballz from Guerlain. I can't wait for the white ballz to arrive on my doorstep! Eyeshadows - I have to go with the MUFE and Ardency Inn. I didn't buy any matte shades from MUFE because I have the Viseart 01 palette and it fulfills all of my matte desires lol. Oh and Tom Ford Platinum. There is nothing like that shadow - spectacular! I also purchased Guerlain's Rouge Parade. It is red perfection. I wore it salsa dancing on Saturday night and had so many compliments. I also picked up the Bumble and Bumble pret-a-powder. I tried it out in store and went back the next day to purchase. It had mixed reviews so I wanted to try it out first. I know I'm leaving some well-loved products out. I'm sure they will come to me as soon as I post this lol. I could go on and on. That's why Specktra is so great - y'all get me!

Hi ladies :D how are u

I am so jet lagged, not even funny, can't fall asleep. My brain is on NY time, but my body is in London lol...
I am so sad, I didn't have a good internet connection to order and sephora was down when I got it to work, and now the MUFE magnetic palette is sold out ugh... I wonder if they will get more before the tenth.

on another note, I know this is not sephora related, but I can't find where to get "drugstore makeup here in London. Does anyone know? Anyone here from the UK?
I went to a pharmacy or two, and they had a very small section, surprisingly enough they have Clarins at the drugstore haha who knew :D

Anyway, if anyone knows where to get makeup here in London please let me know. I want to try some new brands that I've never tried before.
I'm not sure if you got any responses but Ive been to London and a few other parts of Europe and can point you to some places to get makeup.

For drugstore brands try a Boots store. Thats your run of the mill pharmacy/drugstore in London and also parts of Ireland. I found some good products there ranging from Boots No7 and MaxFactor but they carry a lot of stuff we have in the US.

A great place to visit that has everything you could ever want is Harrod's. Its right off the Knightsbridge tube stop although you can easily walk there from South Kensington or Hyde Park stop.
On the first floor they have a gorgeous display of gourmet foods that reminds me of a farmers market setting...they also have a luxury skincare/perfume area on that floor. Its definitely worth checking out even if for a few hours although its easy to spend an entire day there.

Ive also heard good things about Selfridges on Bond Street and Kiko in the Regent Street area.

Hope you enjoy your trip!

I remember when they sold Bourjois in Sephora years ago. It was my first non-drugstore makeup item. A gold eyeliner.

Whats your favorite finishing powder? I just hit the pan on my Hourglass Dim Light ambient lighting powder and am either gonna restock today with the last day of the sale, or try something else. I liked it but not sure what else is out there that's better

and I hit rouge this weekend.. oops
by far my number one choice would be guerain metorites, would have to go in store to find to get on sale......they are a finishing powder, def LE over regular line but perhaps you could buy reg online and exchange for LE, i know my store had a bunch, pm me if you need help

heard great things about the MJ powder, has anyone tried? i am thinking of getting this as it would go down to $38 w/sale

i was never a fan of hourglass, i may be crazy as i was one of the first to pick up the 3 shade set last year and it was a chalky mess on me! granted i probably put way too much on at first but i did try with a light hand and no go for me! have med skin + dark hair, is it workable on all skin tones, dark too? it gets so much love, it must just be me!

i have a TF powder that is nice in sahara dusk, it has a beige hue - i like it but don't love and not worth the moola at all, i wonder if his translucent pressed powder is better, i saw it in both pink + yellow......

oh and what about nars?? reviews were mixed, seemed to be a love or hate!

G ballz, MJ powder, Nars prob in that order!!

bourjois (made by chanel)
Bourjois owns Chanel, not the other way around. :) (They bought Chanel in the 1920s around the time Coco Chanel was prepping to launch No5 to mass retailers.)

When did Sephora have Bourjois? I know Ulta carried it for a while until about three or four years ago.

For anyone that doesnt live near a Sephora I got a few photos of some products and swatches:

Ardency Inn eyeshadows:

They all have great pigmentation, especially the metallic ones. The matte ones are a bit "dusty" on the first application and require multiple applications if you want a rich color....reminds me of the MUFE eyeshadows.

Top row: Vintage Gold, Peacock, Sunday, Heaven, Rose Gold, Hell
Bottom row: Disco, Orchid, Royal, Punch, Tangerine,
Lone vertical swatch: Copper

Becca highlighters from left to right: Moonstone, Opal, Rose Gold, Topaz

I want Orchid and Royal as a duo lol I was bummed that my Royal order was cancelled for being out of stock

I remember Sephora carrying Bourjois. It was my favorite brand and the first I tried when I looked outside of Mac. That was in 2008. I can't remember when they stopped carrying it, but it was about 2 years later, I'm guessing. I was so sad.

The pearls are sooo pretty but do they come off sparkly IRL? I dont want my face to be glittery, it doesnt suit me at all!

I'm on the darker side (south asian) and dim light works fine as a finishing powder but i honestly never used finishing powder until i bought that palette-- I dont have much experience. My skin is dry so I always stayed away from powders! Thats where all you lovelies come in to guide the blind lmao.

What makes the LE pearls better and how can I tell the difference?

Oh I remember that brand---you reached way back Shontay.  If it's the one I'm thinking of their lipsticks were shiny black bullets with ribs.  I hope it goes well and you find what you want.
I'm not sure, Medgal because they went through a few packaging changes and they had a couple different lines of lipstick and they had their own packaging. I remember one of my favorite formulas was a red bullet with gold on the tube when you popped the cap off. They still have Bourjois online at ASOS. I browse from time to time, but I have yet to buy.

There was an orange shade of lipstick that I LOVED!!! ----but of course. I think that was the only lipstick that I can remember using up completely.
