Yes, I will check them out when I get to a counter, but I won't order any online for now like I initially planned to.Arthur is really amazing and you may find one you really love if you look at them yourself.

Hi elegant-one,Her swatch colors are off. The blister pack is way more accurate than the swatches. Adrienne is no where near that pink in the swatch. Its the swatch in the center of my hand next to the very pale pink. Its almost like a tan nude.
I guess she noticed that shiny look too.
It has to be one of those three in the middle at the bottom of the display. I ran out of skin space at the end & went to my wrist so it has to be one of those 3.Oh you're so lucky to have a counter!! Hope you love it. Do you happen to remember which shade is to the left of Ina on your wrist?
Not elegant-one, but since I was the one who initially posted the link to your review and agreed with what elegant said...besides skin tone differences our monitors all make colors look different. You called Adrienne a brown in your review so it probably doesn't look as pink on your monitor as it does on my monitor or elegant's. On my monitor it looks pink in your swatch, tan in elegant's swatch and peachy in delicatewhimsy's swatch on page 3 of this thread! lol I'd love to see it in person. In any case, thanks for the great review.Hi elegant-one,
I'm the blogger at houseoflure.blogspot.com, thank you for checking out my post. I was wondering what you meant by saying my swatch colours are off? They may differ from your swatches as my skin is a lot darker. Thank you

Ok, great. I was thinking that might be #454 Jean (as opposed to #408 Jeanne). Geesh. Why don't they give us a Gene too while they're at it?!It has to be one of those three in the middle at the bottom of the display. I know for sure that I did swatch Jean.Ok, great. I was thinking that might be #454 Jean (as opposed to #408 Jeanne). Geesh. Why don't they give us a Gene too while they're at it?!
Awesome! I love baby pinkI ordered Olga RC with my Crescendo JC and it just arrived. It's a really pretty kind of baby pink on my mauvey lips, at least in the light I have left. I like it! I think it would look more peachy pink on unpigmented lips. The color is just like this swatch on my monitor:

The shimmer does not show up on my lips as much as that swatch would make you think, just like the blogger said, although I guess I'd better hold off on a final opinion of whether it's too much for me until I see it in daylight.
This is my experience as well. Olga (which I love even more in daylight) is almost balm-like. Have you bought any Delicatewhimsy? My Nordstrom lady very sweetly gave me some samples - Adrienne, Coco, Roussy, Arthur, Emilienne (left to right). They are a lot glossier and more hydrating than the original RC's. These remind me a lot of the Rouge Dior lipsticks.
I have Antoinette which I don't care for and Julia is in the mail. I wanted an everyday shade to start with and I think Julia is a better fit. I agree that they are more balm like, I will have to look into Olga! ️This is my experience as well. Olga (which I love even more in daylight) is almost balm-like. Have you bought any Delicatewhimsy?
Ooohhh..I'm very curious about Julia. Let us know what you think when you get it!I have Antoinette which I don't care for and Julia is in the mail. I wanted an everyday shade to start with and I think Julia is a better fit. I agree that they are more balm like, I will have to look into Olga! ️
Now I'm stalking all the Chanel threads good thanks to you LOL. So apparently Gwyneth is wearing Julia here (according to Glamour mag).Ooohhh..I'm very curious about Julia. Let us know what you think when you get it!
Yes, it's very beautiful on. Get it!Rouge Coco hasn't been released in the UK yet but I saw Arthur today (released this weekend) and it is one of the prettiest reds I've ever seen (and I have a lot of reds!) Definitely picking it up.
Now that you bring that up and jolt my memory, I didn't love my first 2 RCs from the initial launch, Gardenia and Mademoiselle. gardenia is frosty and Mademoiselle isn't but it is not something I wear a lot. It was the later RCs from seasonal collections that I love. So my experience was similar to yours. Maybe I will just get Arthur, but I shall see when the collection comes in late March. I saw Arthur and I'm happy that it is not frosty. Although I haven't seen the rest in person, from the swatches I get the comments on how the colours don't have nuances. They look drugstore lipsticks, like Revlon. I like Revlon lipsticks but when I'm paying more for a Chanel I expect more. I think I should get a TF lipstick soon! I'm fortunate to have a counter but very limited stocks. Are the Lip Color or Lip Color Shine better? In thinking about it last night I realized I didn't go wild over any of the initially released RCs the first time around either. It was later releases with various collections that I liked. I do love Arthur, both color and formula, so hopefully there will be others more to my liking in the future. And Sabrina or Beauty Professor may still tempt me into getting another one or two of these when they review them!
I think you might really like Olga Miss QQ. I know it looks very shimmery in that swatch on Scribbled With Liner, but you really don't see that on the lips, it just makes my lips look fuller, like a Chantecaille Lip Chic. I think the hydrating formula is contributing to that too. As far as the TF lipsticks I believe the Lip Colors are more popular. The Shines are similar to Rouge Coco Shines. So it just depends what kind of effect you're looking for.Now that you bring that up and jolt my memory, I didn't love my first 2 RCs from the initial launch, Gardenia and Mademoiselle. gardenia is frosty and Mademoiselle isn't but it is not something I wear a lot.
