MAC Wash And Dry Collection (May 14 / May 21, 2015)

Actually...I am thinking something like that may come in handy for me. I normally use bright colours as stage makeup for my classical indian dancing.

Get it. It's useful instead of having a bunch of palettes or singles.

Are people liking their brushes (the 125 and/or 126)? I got Hipness, GR and FU from this launch, just doing one last sweep through to see whether I need anything else.

I use one or the other or both almost every day. I'm quite happy i got them! So far i've just used them with powders, but i know i'll get around to trying with a creamy product. Am i remembering correctly that the synthetic side is for creamy products?

I agree! I started with the 125 and broke down and got the 126, too. The MA told me that they designed the 126 especially to use with the studio sculpt bronzers. The synthetic side helps to pick up and lay down product since the powder is so creamy, and then the natural sides helps to buff and blend everything. It was a superior application of GR using the 126 than any other brush I have. I found the brushes to be pretty, soft (esp. the 125), easy to work with, BUT I do think they're pricey for what they are. If you have something similar, I would skip.

I was finally able to order Hipness from the Nordstrom website and I got it today. It's beautiful! Although I don't know what I'm more excited about, the blush or the cute mini Tom Ford lipstick sample I was sent. It wasn't a sample option so it was a surprise to me.

I haven't used my brushes yet because I just got around to washing them tonight, and I have a question. When I cleaned these brand new brushes, the water ended up a reddish brown! These are my first MAC brushes in probably 12 years; the old ones are long gone except an eyeshadow brush which I love (which demonstrates the quality of MAC brushes since it's at least a dozen years old!) I have several higher end brushes from other lines and never had this happen with new brushes. I just started using the Brush Guard system a couple of months ago and that's what I used. I added a little of the cleanser and a little water into the special cup (which I scrub clean after every use.) I rubbed the brushes into the cleanser against the textured bottom like you're supposed to, then rinsed them well. But when I dumped the cup out the water was this awful reddish brown. Is that normal for MAC brushes? I bought the 125 from Macy's and the 126 from Nordy's.

I didn't have any issues with my 125, but I noticed some color while rinsing my 126...some residual dye? Not good, especially not at the price point, but I'm really happy with the softness and performance so far. :::shrugs:::

Thanks for sharing. And I agree with you; at these prices dye (which is the only thing I could think of too) should not be running from these brushes when I clean them.

Question... Prob late but I never thought I could wear light greens until I tried, loved, and bought the Wash and Dry Clean Green palette. Is it worth it for me to get the Toledo X green palettte too. Is there a place anyone can suggest to get comparison photos? Thank you for your time and responding to my question

I honestly thought the colors were in the Toledo palette, so you might not need it.

If you really love these kind of colors and see yourself wearing them a lot, I' d say: YES!

The Toledo palette is gorgeous and has a different texture than the W&D one -> powder eyeshadow vs. veluxe pearl fusion.

The quality of the Bellgreens palette is very good. It includes 2 permanent eyeshadows (Gorgeous Gold and Charcoal Brown), though, so you
might check your stash to see if you already own them. But even if you do, the palette is worth the splurge IMO.
