Ugh! I asked him to please double check that it truly was in Stock, otherwise I never would be announced such slanderous lies my friends. :puke:
Is it worth calling to complain to Macys cs? I'm not just looking to whine, I'm frustrated at how much drama they've caused over not properly monitoring/educating their employees on their stock levels.

If you don't mind a bus/train ride, some of the outlet malls in NY have CCOs and the Lancome factory outlets (Designer Fragrances and Cosmetics Co.) which carry Lancome, Giorgio Armani, YSL etc. I've been to both the Tanger Deer Park one and the Woodbury Common Premium Outlet in Central Valley. I'd say the Deer Park one has better stock for the CCO.
There's also one I've been to last exit on the Long Island expressway and its crap best one I've been to put of the 3 is the one in deer park I go often because I have family a couple exits away. Last year for Black Friday I went to Woodbury commons and the cco they had 10% off which is the first time I've seen them have a sale for Black Friday and I got a patent polish and blankety there

Wow! 10% extra off. I've never seen that either. The best I've ever seen was at the Lancome one where they were doing an extra 15-20% off for Memorial Day weekend.

I'm considering calling them right now. I had ordered Tats, Eugenie, and Charlotte yesterday and was THRILLED... my order went through and I got a confirmation email and everything. Then I got an email a couple of hours ago saying that the items were actually out of stock and, as an apology, they gave me a discount for code for 20% off of my next Macy's purchase. So I went onto Macy's' site and saw that they have all of the lipsticks up but none of them are available to add to your cart (even though it says "In Stock") except for Eugenie. I called customer service just now and placed an order for Eugenie, triple checked with her to see that the item was ACTUALLY available (she said yes it was, not to worry), but that my coupon code DOESN'T APPLY TO MAC. Wtf??? So I placed the order anyways and she said it was going to be $20.05 (with tax). Now I got a confirmation email and they charged me shipping on top of what she quoted me!! So, if this transaction goes through, I'll be paying $30 for a freaking MAC lipstick. I'm so fed up

I also called Nordstrom, they WILL NOT restock. Idk what Macys has, but like I said I ordered Tats 15 minutes ago. FREE shipping when calling instead of ordering online.
I just called Macys Cusomter Service # as posted above and I was able (fingers crossed) to order 2 Bianca B's. She told me that EVERY color was still available. I informed her, that it showed some colors available on their website but when I went to check out they were gone. She still told me "Well we have them!" I then told her, that a ton of people are looking for them and that they are not having any luck with the Macys website. I told her a ton of people are going to call. When you call: Use the telephone number listed above and make sure you give the sku for the color (s) you want. I don't have a conformation number but I do have a ship date. May the Specktra and GV force be with everyone! I hope it all works out for us all

I would call and get them to refund the shipping. That's not cool at all!

I called customer service and got them to refund my shipping, yay! I also called them again after seeing CCKK's post and asked a different representative about the lipsticks and she said that YES, EVERY COLOR was currently in stock and available to get shipped out today. So hopefully I get the three that I ordered and also anyone else here on Specktra who is still trying to place an order... please let the makeup gods shine gracefully upon us all!!!!

Here's Tats on me at the end of the day (yeah, I matched it to my top, lol).

I freaking love it. It's closest to No Faux Pas in my existing stash, but for some reason I just don't like NFP on me that much. I think it's a little warmer/yellower than Tats, and that slight difference is the difference between meh and love for me. I'm also loving the formula, I think it's one of the best mattes I own, in terms of feeling lightweight and comfortable, not at all drying but not too creamy. I also picked up Charlotte but I haven't tried it yet.

This is what I did yesterday. He assured me that they had stock. My order was cancelled despite receiving an order confirmation email and a charge on my card.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and and assume English is not the first language of our friends at Macy's customer service. Which is fine, but I'm getting the sense their vocabulary is pretty limited to what's necessary to place orders. I'm on the phone waiting to speak with a manager so we can figure out wtf is going on.

You look absolutely stunning! You tamed the wild beast that is Margie! Isn't Cork the best?!

I've had worse fights with Macys customer service- like substituting Chanel nail polish shades for something "close enough." Yes, I swear that's the actual phrase I heard. So out-of-stock items isn't bad in comparison.

SO! I just spoke with a CS manager named Shaun. It took 58 minutes to finally get to him, but after being on hold for 30 minutes I was too far in to give up! He said the issue with my previous order was that when being processed, they tried to pull it from a store (a silly mistake none of us would have made because we know it's gone). He asked which colors I had wanted and said he'd look to see if the warehouse has them. Eugenie was a no go, but Tats he ordered for me. He guaranteed (knock on wood...) me that this will go through. Not only was shipping waived, he expedited it to two day shipping. Part of me is shaking my head that I've even attempted to order this again, but the optimist in me is putting faith in Shaun! I received an order confirmation email. This is not a "your order has been processed and shipped email so I'm holding my breath until I receive that. If whomever you spoke with promised you that all lipsticks were in stock, I strongly recommend you call back because they're not looking at the warehouse stock amounts. In store, it's not unheard of for a testered lipstick box to be overlooked and not processed through the system for inventory. Because it's not processed as unavailable, the computer still thinks there's stock. I imagine this is what's going on and causing all the problems.

It's not that it's out of stock, it's the constant reassurance of availability shortly followed by cancelled order emails.

Oh my gosh that is terrifying... I'm calling right now and this lady is NOT PLEASED that I'm asking for a manager's help rather than hers. Can she really blame me for all of this crap we're having to deal with??

Alright, I just got off of the phone with some supervisor/manager guy (not Shaun but I honestly couldn't understand his name when he said it... Julio? Antonio?) and had a very different experience than you iShadow lol. I explained everything that was going on and what you told me/us and he assured me that it was impossible to 'just check if a warehouse has stock'. He said the fact that we were able to place orders and get confirmation emails with shipping dates just meant that they WOULD check different warehouses for stock EVENTUALLY because the main one doesn't actually have it. He went on to say that he could do nothing further with my order because as of right now it's all in good standing.

So what I heard was: "We want your money and your credit card was approved so we're going to take it regardless of whether we can give you a product or not. We're hoping to maybe find the product somewhere but until then we're just going to take your credit card and wait until something goes wrong before making sure everything goes right"
