Where No Man is a Lustre. So unless you plan on using it almost on the daily, then it'll expire fast. The Lustre formula will be covered in bacterial colonies in no time. Especially since MAC makes these products months in advance before the launch. I went with LLAP for this reason.
O1Eva1o.gif This alone sounds like an episode of Star Trek...I sorry, I sorry! Bacterial colonies on lipstick is a NO GO! Lucky for me I have never been a lustre girl...Like rinacee that formula does very bad things to my lips :( so no no no!

I've had quite a few lustres for years and they are perfectly fine...none of them are expired.

I got LLAP, WNMHGB, and Khaaaan! I know where no man is a lustre but the ones I've bought in the last year haven't been as prone to snow. The snow is harmless tho and just wax or cosmetic bloom. But, it's so pretty. I am surprised it's not called where no one has gone before but maybe they're going back to TOS where that was said. Yes I am a trekkie lol. I'm gonna get a powder next week when they hit stores as need moar money lol. Love I get free second day shipping if I buy enough lol.

You always have Belk, Nordies, etc. Ever since Pro members have to wait for two weeks to get their discount, products lasted much longer.

Oh is that what it is? That makes sense. I remember going to the Pro store when a collection was released and all the good stuff being sold out when I walked in the door. I would get a product as consolation and would stand on line behind someone buying 20+ items of that limited edition collection products. I did not blame the person but it didn't feel particularly good. No offense to pro members intended. I think it is a great program.

Got my first order: 3 powders, 2 shadows (green and copper), pinky lipstick, LLsomething l/s, pinky gloss. Still want light colored shadow, purple gloss and green speckled polish. Maybes are the rest of the lipsticks, glosses and polishes and possibly a backup of the pinky l/s if I like it as much as I think I will.

I haven't tried the products yet but I don't know how I will do with the lightest powder. I was taking a chance on this one but I love products like these so I had to go for it.

I can't decide between LLAP and Where No Man...halp!

I talked to a MAC representative online because I had the same exact issue. I do love a good frost and I'm not too crazy about lustres but...she thought with my complexion that Where No Man would do better. I have Royal Ball from the Cinderella collection and specifically asked her to compare those two. (I haven't finished off my first one and I have a backup still waiting to be used). She said Royal Ball has more pink and LLAP is more coppery. She recommended half red for Where No Man which was a clincher for me. I already own it from the Alluring Aquatics collection so...seemed like a snap. I wish I could afford both but I'm already going mad and getting two lipglasses (which I so don't need) so I'm trying to limit myself to just one lipstick. The MAC lady said the swatches she's seen LLAP doesn't have the rosy pink that the description describes. Royal Ball has pink undertones. She described No Man is the perfect lipstick to thrown on if you are running late out the door and aren't putting a lot of time and effort into your makeup. I also have three Pet Me Pleases from the Alluring Aquatic collection...I didn't ask about that compared to LLAP but it's a mauve nude.

To quote Spock..fascinating......I use Royal Ball (lustre) not daily but several times week. I keep the lipstick in the box and I've had no issues with bacteria etc. I got it more than a year ago. And I have a backup I'm not worried about. I do love the feel and look of Frosted but worried about the coppery undertones in LLAP for my complexion.

My plan at this point is to buy No Man Gone Before and Khan! (sorry not sure how many Ns and As to add) and Warp Speed Ahead. The latter is the one I want most. I love a good plum lipglass. I just hope it's not a dupe for Modern Lure. I don't care for that purple. I prefer Wrong Spell (Disney Villains) and Talk Sexy (Novel Romance). I interrogated a poor MAC representative on that point.

And I totally don't need any of these but massively want. I haven't bought any MAC products in a while other than makeup wipes (you don't want to know how many Alluring Aquatics items I still have in my makeup closet). So I'm the lowest of the lowly members...when will this go on sale to the masses? I know it use to be around 7, 8 in the morning.

Is there something from this collection that I'm missing and really should get? I debated LLAP but thinking not at this time mainly for color and mostly $$.

I think it plays a huge part. I don't think the Pro members per se were the problem. Rather those who bought large quantities to sell them on evilbay.

As I feared, I think Luna Luster has too much actual glitter in it for me to enjoy on my face, while Highly Illogical just looks shimmery, so that one is a go.
