I have much sadness. Mine arrived yesterday and I had a lot of hope (Haven't had time to play yet) but that looks .... not so wonderful for $34. I appreciate the swatch Monsy!! I'll break mine out when my schedule slows over the weekend but the "meh" reports I'm seeing are killing my 'Star Trek' buzz.

I will try to make better swatch today if weather allows but yes it is one big meh...

Luna Luster
LLAP
Where No Man Has Gone Before

saying that I've not brought anything from MAC in a while passed on the Troll collection just waiting for the Selena one now haha!! My stuff are arriving tomorrow so I'll post pictures and swatches as soon as I can when it arrives <3

I've worn Luna Luster for a couple days now and I'm just "meh" about it. It looks okay, but on me it looks super glittery. I'm going to try tapping my brush off tomorrow. It's very pretty, and I think I want to play around with it more, just sad it doesn't have as lovely of a finish as SNW does.

Strange New Worlds. Natural Indoor, Outdoor, Natural Indoor.
Sorry for not being able to get direct sunlight images. It was a grey day, but wanted to take pictures before I used it.

This is my solo item from the Star Trek collection as nothing else truly caught my fancy.
I will use it as a very pretty lighter blush to highlighter. No visible glitter and not overly shimmery on the face.
The powder is not "creamy" per say but it is not super dry. It did not kick up powder in the pan when I dipped my brush.
Overall I am pretty happy with it!

Got Luna Luster yesterday and when I saw it I was sooooo disappointed because it looked so beautiful but SO glittery in the pan. BUT! I wore it today.. and there is some larger silver shimmer on the face (definitely not as bad as in the pan) and it's a bit more cool-toned than I expected but I like it! Is it the best highlighter ever? Probably not. But so far I really really like it. And I usually go for warm highlighters so it's quite unique to my (large) highlighter collection.

Btw... I just cleaned my highlighter brush (RT setting brush) and it seems that most of the larger shimmer stayed in the brush, instead of on my face. I think that that explains why LL doesn't look glittery on my face.

I do like perfect topping and lightscapade 50x better texture and color wise.

LL is great but it is nothing compared to my beloved PT. I have two of them lol! (From two generations though so they swatch completely different haha). Never really been a fan of Lightscapade, I still have it but never use it. I might give it a chance again soon.

:cop: What?! Lol! Aw, it's still my fave, if I go for a more shimmery look that is. For a more subtle, natural glow without shimmer I prefer Shiseido High Beam White.

Good to know!

Looks pretty!

I've been wearing SNW everyday since I recieved and I'm in love! So pretty as a blush! I'm still telling myself I don't need HI... :snooty:

Met Dom Skinner this evening. He gave everyone that attended a quick master class with the products from this collection, bought back memories of the attempted crease cuts I tried when I was younger. Now I know how to do a double crease cut... Without screwing up.

I put on Skin of Evil last night, I love this shade! I wore it on its own but it would also look great over a green cream base.

I'm happy to report that I like it a lot more now! Used it today for the first time in a veryyy long time and I quite like it! Maybe LL has changed me lol. But tbh this is just bad news haha because from now on I will also be looking at the more cool-toned highlighters instead of immediately skipping them... and I have so many highlighters already hahaha. :scared:
