I think they had the DE limit the last time around. It's 3 per transaction so I can order 3 online and 3 each time I go in the store. I'm not looking to hoard anything by the time the sale rolls around I'll need some DE moisturizer and eye cream.
I really wish DE would come to Ulta. I have no Sephora but my Ulta is 5 minutes away, always very clean and only a few years old. Can't say I've ever been in a Sephora that wasn't a mess, but maybe that's just me. In any case this new deal of limiting the code to one time use online sucks for me.

Yes it sucks for me too. I find it so strange that it'll be one time use online but you can use it as many times as you want instore. Do they think going in store will make us spend more money? I tend to spend more money online lol.

I saw an article today listing all the upcoming changes to the Sephora Beauty Insider program. The one that stood out to me was the upcoming 20% off at the end of this month for VIBR starting on8/24 to kick off the new program. VIB and BI will start on 8/30 at 15% and 10% respectively. This will continue until 9/2. I've included the link to the article below. What do you think? What will you get? Let me know.

How To Get 20% Off Sephora Products In August If You're A Beauty Insider Member — EXCLUSIVE

The one thing I don't see here that I think they need to implement post haste is allowing me to stack promo codes. I hate that I can't use a code for a deluxe sample item and use the promo code for a discount at the same time. Or maybe they should just add the discount automatically when you're logged into your beauty insider account. It makes way more sense either way. I also feel if I'm VIBR I should be able to get more than one deluxe sample. Why do I need to keep splitting up my orders into $25 groups just so I can get more than one? Such a waste of time and resources.

Amen! And with it being one time use online, do you order on day one before things sell out or wait for more new arrivals?

Yes. I always went a few times. I thought that was the usual thing. Well, now that I think about it I usually don't even have the card with me, I just tell them I want the discount. That is why I was surprised people said the cashiers gave them a hard time.

WHAT! It's only a one time use this time!!!??? That is very very bad for how I like to order. Same here. I have an Ulta 5 min. away too & it's very very clean unlike the germy hazmat messy Sephora.

Going through the article...

Why not do 2x for VIB and 3x for Rouge, if you’re going to multiply points?

I’d still like to see a hybrid of Sephora’s and Ulta’s rewards systems implemented. Allow customers to redeem points for either deluxe samples/sample sets or discounts.

I don't think it's one time use, at least I haven't read anything online that suggests it is. My understanding is that it's a bonus to roll out the new rewards system and it will be like the typical November sale (which has not been confirmed yet so who knows).

Edit: My bad. I just read it again and online orders are one time use only. Wow.

I wonder if limiting use of the discount to one time only online is to alleviate some of the issues they’ve had with shipping during sales in the past. I’ve never had any orders delayed but I know others have.

That is so bad especially for those of us that do not live near a Sephora :(

I think it could be why, although I don't think we've had the same issues here in Canada. Shipping is expensive here though, and I'm sure that this will help alleviate some of that cost given the multiple orders people place.

I wonder if this will be the situation going forward with future sales now.

I know! And even if we do, the majority of stores here ( at least in Canada) do not carry the higher end brands like Tom ford, PM or ND. I am definitely going to have a rock solid list when I place my order which kind of sucks.

It might work out better for everyone. Sephora saves on shipping costs and we save by purchasing less.

Certainly going to get DE products and I might give the Babyfacial a try since I won't pay full price to try it and I'm very curious about it since so many people love it. I will get brushes the YSL concealer and see what hair products peek my interest and might consider a eyeshadow palette but wondering if I should wait till the holiday releases to check out palettes.

I think having the code work twice online would be fair and reasonable. That way it would cut down on orders for Sephora but still allow for new stock or forgotten items for us.

I was reading a link on another site last night. I think it may have taken me to Sephora's board but I'm not sure. It said that the bonus event lets rouge shop the whole event. You can redeem your discount only once online but as many times as you would like in store. Wait I don't think that is anything different now that I think about it but I think some people had trouble in individual stores so I guess you could print that out if you did have trouble at your store. I do wonder about the redeeming $100 deal. Will everyone be able to do it or will they limit it like they did before?

Very interesting point about the $100 gift card redemption. I'm also wondering how many we can convert if it's just a new perk and not the Hunger Games style redemption, as previously mentioned.
I have over 10,000 pts that I wish would be useful at some point. And that's after giving up and just redeeming a bunch of stupid 500 pt perks.

The new all hours YSL concealer? Hey, speaking of hair product... I just bought & tried a couple times last week Olaplex shampoo & I really really love it. It gets amazing reviews & I agree with them completely. It made my hair more shiny, smooth, bouncy & youthful looking. I just may bathe in it lol. Being a die hard Alterna user forever, this is the first new hair thing that I've tried that actually made a difference. I also got the #3 repair complex but haven't tried it yet. It gets really really great reviews.
