I've changed my mind on the gold palette as well. I was super excited at first but the swatches are underwhelming. Plus, I am not altogether happy about this mini star palette. I plan on returning it. Natasha and I are just not meant to be. My next goal is to get that Pat palette when it's back in stock.

Oh and I considered taking the Fenty Uncuffed liquid lipstick back but I was playing with it last night and I found a way to make it work better. I just used a brown nyx liner and it ended up looking exactly the way I wanted it to look on it's own. It's definitely a keeper now. Anyone plan on buying the black shade? I love black lipstick, but it doesn't love me back.

I feel the same way about the gold palette. The collector in my wants it and there is definite FOMO on my part. I’m leaning towards not getting it for a few reasons - the colors look very similar, I have Lila and Sunset and, as great as they are, I tend not to know where to start when putting a look together, I’ve bought too many expensive palettes already (PMG Bronze Seduction and CT Stars in Your Eyes).

if I do decide to purchase it, it will be from Beautylish so I can take advantage of their payment place. $30 something/month is easier to swallow than $129!

My first thought..."Ooooh shiny sparkly mine mine gimme gimme..."Then I dug out all my gold metallics and went "Ooooh sparkly shiny..." lol!

Same. I was all jazzed up over the Kevyn Aucoin and Natasha Denona holiday palettes. Then I saw swatches and, after marinating on it, I’m not excited for either anymore.

Loved to hear everyone's thoughts. I think the Gold Palette is a skip for sure. That ND Mini Star palette looks nice in the pan, but the swatches don't look the way I would have thought, so that's also a pass.
I too was jazzed about the Kevyn Aucoin palette, but that is now a no for me as well. fur4elise, which gold metallics in your collection will take the place of the ND Gold Palette for you?

My Sephora has a Black Up display but some of the testers are missing. I'm annoyed at these thieves! lol I really wanted to swatch some of the eyeshadow palettes but oh well. I'll wait for the next VIB sale to haul them.

I finally got matched in Fenty Beauty. 420 is a perfect match. I got two samples and will be wearing it tomorrow to see. I heard it's great for oily skin. I am sick of matte foundations tbh

Ordered the Mount Lai Gua Sha facial massage thing-y. I have really tight jaw muscles, so hoping it is good for nice relaxing facial massage.
Also have been using a sample of Ole Henriksen Find Your Balance cleanser and really like it, so I ordered the full size of that. It definitely helps control my oiliness, but it doesn't dry my skin out or make it tight at all.

So.....I broke down and pre-ordered the ND gold palette from Beautylish. After seeing more swatches, i got sucked in. If I don’t love it, back it goes.

I’m on a no buy at least for the month of October. It shouldn’t be too hard as there’s really nothing coming out that’s caught my eye. I need to start using the products I’ve already bought and like before getting new stuff.

I'm torn on the ND Gold Palette. The colors look so similar, but I don't want to regret passing it up. Still on the fence about the Safari Palette as well. Decisions, decisions.
I swatched the Safari palette in store and was really impressed but I know matte shadows don't swatch the same way they apply. I haven't seen super great reviews as yet but I think I'm going to get it for the sale. It has mattes that I don't have in my Viseart Matte palettes so at least I'm not doubling up.

I finally pulled out the DE Baby facial and first impression I really like it and certainly get the hype.

#1 . I love the texture. Its a thick cream and has moisturizing properties in it which is a huge plus for me as its easy for my skin to over dry. There was some tingling which was to be expected from my first use but it stopped quickly and I allowed it to sit for 10min instead of 20 since I felt it starting to tingle again, so I knew it was time to rinse it off.

#2 It removes easily and my skin was noticeably brighter and yes baby soft lol. I didn't use the Marana oil sample that came with it because oils tend to break me out and I didn't want to chance it, especially since a lot of reviews stated the oil broke them out.

So add me to the baby facial cult lol

Got my ND Gold palette yesterday. My first impression is WOW. I think in terms of quality and formula it's a return to form for ND. The last few palettes have been hit or miss - mostly miss for me. IMO, it might be even better than the Sunset palette. I'm only wearing two colors today - a metallic and a matte. I have brass on my lid and I'm not sure I have anything like it in my collection. It looks bright, shiny, wet and multidimensional.

There is a lot of gold in this palette but because the golds are a mixture of matte, shimmer, metallic, duochrome, and glitter it doesn't feel like your basic gold shadow.

This is only a first impression but, if the rest of the shadows are as good as the ones I have on, I will be very, very happy.

Beautylish is the way to go between the payment plan, super quick shipping, and how carefully they pack the product. Can't be beat.

I used the $100 gift card that I redeemed points for + gift cards I received for my birthday and bought:

-Dr. Dennis Gross Facial Steamer - I like this a lot so far! I've been using it 3-4 times a week at night. I"ll remove my makeup and then steam my face. Then I rush over to the sink and use my clarisonic and face wash for a second cleanse. I feel like it is doing a great job at getting the gunk out.
- La Mer Intensive Revitalizing Mask - I haven't used this yet but the reviews everywhere I've looked are very positive, so I'm excited
- Surratt "blushes" in Grisaille and Aureole - These are the contour and highlight shades from Surratt's blush range. They're beautiful
- Surratt eyeshadows in Velin, Marron, Ombre, and Vison - I love these as well. I'm biased toward Surratt eyeshadows and blushes though. I think he makes some of the best on the market.

Also, not Sephora related, but I'm still loving the Westman Atelier foundation stick. Once I finish my Burberry cream contour stick, I'll probably try out her contour in Biscuit. I'd love to try one of the blush sticks as well, but I have a little ways to go before I use up one of my current cream blushes.

I have been going back and forth on this one.
When I first saw it I said "Yes!"
But now I am just not sure.
You may have pushed me back over to the Yes side a little bit.
But I am still on the fence. I just don't know.

I hate that...because I am usually very decisive.

Did you get a chance to try your Safari palette yet? I saw a Beauty Advisor in sephora with swatches on his arm and knew immediately it was that palette. I then headed straight to swatch on my arm and loved the shades. My friend said the reviews haven't been great but I find that hard to believe. It swatched like butter! And I love that it's all matte and shades I mostly don't already own.

I did try it a little bit. I only wore 4-5 colors but I liked the look. I'm afraid I haven't been wearing much makeup lately. This the worst time for this to happen. So sorry. I'm not much help.

A little birdie told me that Sephora is trying something different this year and offering discounts on certain products every weekend from approximately Halloween until Christmas. Don’t know which products. Birdie hinted that it was for rouge. Don’t know about other levels.

Hopefully this will not replace the usual promotional events. Hopefully the products are good. Birdie seemed pretty confident on this intel.

I went to Sephora today to get some items I really wanted. The store locator said they would be there, but they were not. The only upside is an associate who recognized me slipped me a 20% off discount card to be used in-store or online until next Saturday. It's a friends and family thing apparently and I am gonna hold off until the Fenty releases on Friday and see what I want.

Did birdie confirm the November sale by any chance? Or is this supposed to be in place of?

I think the store locator can be hit or miss. One of the associates told me once it’s sent out for delivery to the store,it’s considered part of the store inventory even though it may not be at the store yet. I’ve gotten burned a few times so now I just call ahead.

She did not know about the November sale. She just told me about this new promotion. Apparently certain products will go on sale every weekend. She didn’t say what the percent off was going to be or what products would go on sale. She did say that Sephora was going to “try something new.”

Personally I am concerned that this might be instead of the November sale because of the promotion that they had recently. I have no hard facts to base this on. Just a gut feeling that I have. Hopefully I am wrong.

I suppose that she could be mistaken too, but she seemed really confident. I guess that we will find out at the end of this month.

Yeah I've been burned by it too, but I figured it might be true this time since I waited about a week after the locator said it was available. Oh well.
I ordered Pat McGrath balm lipstick in Wild Cherry today.

I have my eyes on that one, but I think I need to use up the one I have now. You know, be responsible. :hehe:

I remember when Sephora rebooted their VIB/VIBR statuses earlier and offered a discount then people were asking whether that would replace the November VIB sale. One of my friends said she saw on one of the boards or on IG (can't recall now) that someone stated that the VIB sale would still happen in November. The Sephora SA who sent me a Friends & Family code is sending me another this year. According to the flyer it runs from October 6 to 13. The VIB sale usually starts 3 weeks or so after F&F so we'll see. Fingers crossed the VIB sale is still on and that our codes work more than once online!
