Yeah, i guess some Nordstrom's is letting you have a full size NARS product with the presale of the eyeshadow palette!

So I just got sent home empty handed as te palette will not be avail until the 2/1. The SA I spoke to have me the wrong info. So I just wasted time and gas for nothing. Nars counter manager said she hasnt even gotten her shipment. Not sure if I believe her or not but it doesn't matter. I have nothing! Complete and total bummer. I'm going to find pancakes....

Well, broke down and bought it. Ordered from the NARS website. I already have a few shadow singles and a bunch of duos, but this will be good for travel, right? Right?? Oy, I need an intervention. Glad I can pass on the blush palette. Agree with everyone else that I don't need more Laguna or Orgasm!

It's so annoying that in the UK we get everything released so much later than everywhere else.
I've been looking everyday on the Nars, Selfridges and SpaceNk websites and nothing!
If it's not been released by next week, I may have to have a little trip into Selfridges and ask at the counter to see if they have any sneaky ones they can let me at least look at!!

East Bay, CA? Where did you go? I got mine at Stoneridge. Had mine pre-ordered last week & they released it yesterday! They still had a few this morning when I went too!

Yeah, when I looked into the size of the cheek palette, I got instantly suspicious of the size of the shadow palette. Given the quality and brand prestige of NARS, I'm not surprised at the price but it seems like these are being hyped and most don't realize they probably qualify as "travel size." I'm usually pretty money conscious when it comes to big purchases like this and I honestly think the palette is worth it. I love it. I know that price wise it isn't the best value, but I would rather have this palette, than two from another brand. It isn't very big, but I like that it's small enough to travel with. It has a really nice mix of colors. I know it doesn't make sense lol, and it was definitely a splurge, but I love Nars and love the colors. Honestly, I think that makes it a great value - if you'd rather have it than two others, think you'll be able to use it to simplify makeup in your bag or when traveling, or it would stand in for a lot of small purchases, you've still shopped in a money-conscious way.I'm usually pretty money conscious when it comes to big purchases like this and I honestly think the palette is worth it. I think, mostly, it'll depend on how enamored with the product someone is and how many other palettes they have, and so on. For me, this would be an addition to a 12-palette collection. I've got plenty of stuff to fill the gaps and this looks like it might do well in my gym bag instead of Naked Basics, which is, well, basic. I'm still worried about the warmth of the colors, though, and am dying for comparative swatches.

If you're worried about the palette being too warm, I think it's a nice mix. I would search for swatches online, too, since all of these shades are permanent. I went to walnut creek! Unbelievable! Stoneridge would have been a real hike. I'm still uber pissed off. Oh well....thanks for letting me know though

I think it's strange however, reading some posts on here, that despite having a 'release date' some of you have been allowed to buy and others have been told it's not for sae yet, even though you are buying from the same Department store chain?
Store here are generally stingy wih their free gifts too, so not expecting anything extra as some of you have had.

I don't know if it will be "exclusive" to the Nars site but that will be your best bet if you want to get it as soon as it was in store.
And I agree, a lot of the Nordstroms seemed so willy nilly about the release date and selling it beforehand!
I got a promo code for a free full size gift with a purchase from the Nars US site newsletter, maybe the UK one will do one as well? I usually ignore them but I'll think better of it now! lol
