The new all hours YSL concealer? Hey, speaking of hair product... I just bought & tried a couple times last week Olaplex shampoo & I really really love it. It gets amazing reviews & I agree with them completely. It made my hair more shiny, smooth, bouncy & youthful looking. I just may bathe in it lol. Being a die hard Alterna user forever, this is the first new hair thing that I've tried that actually made a difference. I also got the #3 repair complex but haven't tried it yet. It gets really really great reviews.
Yes I'm going to get the YSL concealer you posted about. I've always used Olaplex because my hair stylist uses it when she colors my hair and I would buy it from her to maintain my hair condition afterwards and I'm so happy you can now buy it through Sephora.

Awesome! I hadn't even heard of Olaplex before. Nordies is carrying it too. Thanks!

Very interesting point about the $100 gift card redemption. I'm also wondering how many we can convert if it's just a new perk and not the Hunger Games style redemption, as previously mentioned.
I have over 10,000 pts that I wish would be useful at some point. And that's after giving up and just redeeming a bunch of stupid 500 pt perks.

Blurgh. According to MusingsofaMuse:

For example, the virtual gift card still comes with a stipulation that it will be available on Rewards Bazaar Days Only (Tuesday and Thursday) and in limited quantities. That means it’s a catch 22 if you’ll get one or not since they’ll likely sell out fast. This is a permanent feature now in the Rewards Bazaar which means if they do sell out you can still try again next week but still annoying there aren’t unlimited quantities that are redeemable for points at any time you want! You also need to redeem the amount in total so you can’t carry any balance on the virtual gift card they give you which means any remaining amount will not be reimbursed. It also expires in 90 days once they send it to you via e-mail.

Sephora does seem to love their limitations -- imo, they just can't seem to get this program revamp totally right.
I am sure all the years of VIB(R) membership feedback was advocating for the system to be a lot more open-ended than what they are currently implementing.
It's like they are only begrudgingly opening their coffers.

Agreed. They probably have to be careful at this point b/c they've been so stingy for so many years. Most of us have a ton of useless points that if they let us all redeem them at once, they'll go bankrupt! :p

Given how much I understand they charge brands for shelf space, not including that they charge back returns to the brands, I'm sure they'll be just fine. Common sense should tell them that the fact people are hoarding points is a sure sign that redeeming them aren't worth the hassle.

Yes. I always went a few times. I thought that was the usual thing. Well, now that I think about it I usually don't even have the card with me, I just tell them I want the discount. That is why I was surprised people said the cashiers gave them a hard time.

It's usually as many times you want online and in-store for the VIB sales but one time only online for the employee appreciation sale from what I recall. But I remember some persons were able to use the employee appreciation one in store at Sephora Inside JCP because the barcode was different.

I have used e-gift cards for Sephora. I took what I wanted to return to the store and they issued me a physical gift card. No problems.

I was trying to avoid going in store
I'm pretty sure they would either credit your Sephora account or email you a new e gift card. I would think a new e gift card because the credit only shows up at checkout on online orders. Yours being any type of gift card that could be used online or in store I think they will issue you a new one once they receive the returned products.

When they screwed up & not given me my discount during the sales. For some stupid reason they have never credited my credit card with a stupid excuse & put it on my Sephora account. I've never bothered to push them on crediting my card because I figure they'll mess that up as well. Also I usually order anyway as my store doesn't carry many of the brands that are online.

What is everyone's favorite eye shadow primer? I have been using UDPP Anti-Aging, but feel like my e/s looks have been so muddy looking. Want to grab something new in the sale.

I'm going to try the new Fenty primer with this sale. Most reviewers say it's sticky and that's what I'm looking for these days.

That's what I was thinking of trying as well. A lot of reviews said it made the eye shadow color really pop too.

I plan to focus on skin care during the upcoming promotion.

I have tried the fenty eyeshadow primer, and it isn’t my favorite. It doesn’t dry down easily/quickly, and shadows can skip & apply funky if you are in a rush bc it is so tacky.

Different info about the new Sephora benefits...

butterfly0901 I'm sure everyone has heard about the changes to the*@sephora*Rewards Program!
If you're Rouge you now earn 1.5 points for every dollar you spend. VIB earn 1.25 points. The cost for Flash Shipping has increased to $15/yr for Beauty Insider & VIB. It's Free for Rouge members. /
.
They've also added some different options when redeeming points. VIB & Rouge members can choose either a bday gift or 250 points.
Rouge members can also redeem 2500 points to get a $100 Sephora voucher. This feature will become active when the sale starts on 8/24. I did speak to someone at CS to find out how this works. You have to use the App and she believes on the left side under your name there will be an option to redeem your points. As of now you can only get 1 voucher for $100 per year. I'm sure that will change in time. /
Rouge & VIB can redeem their points for full-size products. Unfortunately you can't pick whatever you want. The available products will be in the Rewards Bazaar. You choose the product the same way you would a 100 point perk. /
If you're a Beauty Insider nothing has really changed for you. You earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. Flash shipping will now cost you $15/yr. You can redeem your points for trial size items. /
