I was feeling overwhelmed when I read all of the stickies Janice posted, but when I re-read them, there was a lot that I could cut out. I don't like lipsgloss palettes, that's about 4 or 5 products right there. The clutch I think I'll pass on, esp. because it's only a vial of pigment. It would have to be the most awesome pigment I have ever seen to motivate me to get that.
If there are 4 palettes, realistically, I'll only like 2, the brush set is porbably a mini set, and I don't want any of the brushes included. I'm so proud of myself. But I still want all 3 pigments, 5 MES duos, atleast 1-2 palettes and I'll have to see the l/s in person.

cool, warm, metallic, and the fourth is smokey according to specktras preliminary info. im skipping any lip pallettes (hate them), and that clutch with the sunbasque, shimmertime, etc. i also will skip out on the brush sets because i keep hearing the quality is nowhere near the regular line. the cool eyes pallette this year looks just as impressive as last year. i need more info and pictures, im goin crazy here!

hmmm.... why would mac make soo many of them and release at the same time though? and eye cream (skin care) does not really have anything to do with metalic, right? so maybe they are matalic color cream eye shadows?

i'm thinking maybe something like what they used to paint the model's face in this pic

Yeah, I don't think it is an skin care eye cream based on the price. It would be more expensive. The name sounds like a shadow product. That's my guess.

i agree with your guesstimate, that is pretty much the only thing that i am really looking forward to in the couture collection. in the holiday collections as of right now, i am looking forward to the new pigments and MES Duos. and thats about it for the holiday/couture collection.

i am sure to be picking up some stuff from McQueen when it comes out next month.

Air of Style

The scent, created by Laurent Le Guernec of fragrance house International Flavors and Fragrances, has key notes of white pepper, dates, tuberose, orange flower, precious woods and amber crystals. It comes in a refillable hand-blown, teardrop shaped glass bottle.

Priced at $60 for 30ml, the new EdT is positioned at a higher end to MAC’s seven existing fragrances, priced $22.50 for 20ml. Only 3,000 units of the fragrance have been produced. The Stylistics makeup line of six products also has a premium positioning, priced from $20 for a lipgloss to $60 for the evening clutch.

The scent and the makeup collection will launch on November 28 in the US. A global launch in selected outlets is scheduled for December. The limited edition makeup collection will launch in MAC stores only.

It is more targeted towards trade than the individual. I like it. I want to join!

I just subscribed to the free 4 week trial.
Not sure though if I want to spend that much over a year but it is worth trying!

metal x creams are shadows, cream shadows. They are the size of a cream color base and the closest thing to them are the hilighters from maccouture, except these are 10 times better. metal x cream shadows are a cream to powder product. They have cool visible hetchmarks on them more like lines.

I don't know if anyone's noticed, but there is now an option on the MAC Cosmetics website (http://maccosmetics.com) to sign up for e-mail notifications on news about MAC holiday collections. There is also a cool Juicy Couture, roccoco, Marie Antoinette type promotional design! Cool huh? If it doesn't automatically ask you when you visit the site, go to What's New, and then Overview and click the MAC Holiday picture! =)

HOLIDAY
MAC Holiday 2007 is coming soon to court your senses. Colours and gifts, limited in edition, inspired by the ornate excess of antiquity. Receive priority notification of it's online debut.

I saw that. I'm guessing cover art for the palettes since it looks similar?

I think this collection is definately going to make me broke. Unless I randomly get that call from MAC I've been waiting for 6(._.)
