I think that would be very rad.
As for Lana Del Rey as much as I LOVE her the only thing I can imagine is her having a lipstick or something because of her lips. Other than that her makeup is always pretty neutral.

Aww. Hell no. I will admit I did try it years ago before it got out of control and it looked HORRIBLE on me. My mom thought I had chocolate around my mouth and asked why I didn't take a napkin to wipe it off. I mean.... NOOOOOOO.I was on tumblr yesterday. Chola lips are back too.

I used to wear brown liner like that when I was like 17. But not that harshly. LMAO. But then I found out what it was called. Not all the 90's trends were good ones.Love Florence!

Thank you MACina and Naomi. That was a very recent selfie. I believe I took it last weekend at the NY Botanical Gardens. I can't remember for the life of me what blush and eye stuff I'm wearing, but I am wearing MAC Goes & Goes on my lips.

Just dropping in to say that I am far from being a teenage girl, but I am looking forward to this collection and seeing how it differs from that punk collection they did late last year (which I loved). I've always looked at Lorde and wondered what lip color she's wearing and her own wild hair has inspired mine. I think she's amazingly talented, I love her voice and even though she's not what I'd call a visionary, she's a breath of fresh air compared to her contemporaries. Some people mentioned she's not an icon or some sort. Well, if we waited for people to become icons, that'd be a long ass wait for just about everyone. If you're not Britney Spears, it doesn't really happen overnight. Not trying to be preachy. You can skip this collection or buy it despite her name being on it b/c Lord knows I shaded Rihanna all through her collections while still buying it. Lorde's song Team is my jam. I'll happily support it because I finally get to buy a product with the name of someone whose talent I enjoy. Mac has a knack for choosing folks I don't really enjoy, but if the product is right that's all that matters to me. Just as long as it's not Taylor Swift (oddly, I like her music a lot, but she really rubs me the wrong way personally). She's tied up with Covergirl anyway. If you've been here long enough, you'll know I've been crying for an Adele/Mac collaboration and you might hate me for it, but hate me again because I'll keep saying it until it happens.

As for Lorde, she's a pretty young girl with one good single. If MAC wants to use her for a collection, at the least they'll be able to make her look good in the promo images. Her look is super popular right now, whether it's flattering or balanced or not. No makeup + black lips and beautiful hair/skin always looks a lot better in person than in photos, even though it's non-traditional.

My eyes almost roll out of my head when it comes to Miley. I have zero problems with people being raunchy. I don't throw slurs around because a woman puts her sexuality out there for everyone to see. It can be enjoyable, but I just find Miley tacky and her voice is so annoying to me. If I see that tongue one more time I'll scream. It's amusing to see people get all excited about what she does like it's new and she'll keep doing it as long as people continue to react that way. Gaga, like Madonna in mid 90's, thinks she's above pop music. I don't have time for that. It's what made her famous and now she's a parody of herself indeed.:lol: I actually am OK with Miley Cyrus because she's so blatantly F.U. about her whole slutty, druggie obnoxious schtick. I am old enough to remember the days where rock women were totally rough and out of control, crazy and punk rock. They may or may not have also been beautiful or sexy, but they mostly were just wild and doing whatever the hell they wanted. When that whole Madonna, image above everything, fake sexy female empowerment thing got going, it was so hypocritical and commercial. To me, Miley takes that junk trend to the ultimate degree and then passes it by being so completely ridiculous and rebellious about it. I like that she makes a lot of people really mad and annoyed. Anything to shake people out of their snoozing. That's why I'm OK with Rihanna too. Lady Gaga probably has more raw talent than either of these gals, but lately it seems like she's imitating herself, rather than continuing to just be naturally weird (or not..). I think Gaga just needs to do an album of broadway show tunes, Liza Minnelli-style and get it out of her system

I don't have an issue with them choosing Lorde for a collab, I was a bit surprised they chose someone so new to the scene but I'm not upset over it. I'm not too familiar with her outside of that one song about royals or something, but I do like a vampy lip so if MAC can whip something new up I'm down. As far as celeb collabs go, sure there are some I'd love to see a collection inspired by for one reason or another, but if I decided to not buy something just because I didn't like who the celeb was I would of missed out on some great items. I'm not a fan of Miley, but I think a collection with her would be edgy, funky and fun. I'm not a fan of RiRi or Nicki Minaj either but I sure bought their lippies because I liked them plain and simple. Anywho, that's just my
