That's the hardest thing about actually making the facecharts-making things somewhat even. That's what i hated about doing facecharts!
i have never done one. doubt i could do any better lol!! i want to make one tho to see how i do, but do u use brushes or your fingers to put the color on the paper??

You use makeup brushes and makeup. I don't the exact same brushes, just a couple brushes that take better to paper (natural hair brushes don't work as well as synthetic). I'll send one with your shadow so you can play with it!

thanku!!! i have some synthetic brushes too, always wanted to see if i can make one look decent. i can sew, and paint, and sculpt, but drawing is not my strong point yikes. this is a lil different tho should be fun to try

Jeeeez...have you ever totally missed something so obvious that when you see it you feel like smacking yourself in the head? Wow, its not even a subtle bit off, lol.

Btw, thanks to Erine for mentioning how a face chart is done, I never took the time to think about what kind of brushes you'd use to do one of those. Now that I think about it its actually very interesting, what kind of paper do they use do you know?

Some people have said it's a watercolour paper??? I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to art supplies. All i know is that it is textured, not just regular computer paper.

textured paper is great for the cling BUT also a bitch to blend.... I use a flat brush to apply most of the eyes.... just get ready to have shadow everywhere and use a lot LOL

OMG this is amazing! I love lorde's dark make up and think the goth/vamp look is very in right now. I hope they make deep purples and blackest of black eyeliner/eyeshadow

I just saw this on a uk site that featured lorde in a video talking about her Mac collaboration, and I'm willing to bet that this is her color. They showed tons of photos with her wearing the color as they were talking about the "collection" too so it seems to make sense to me. It also matches the face chart pretty well. Someone else posted a pic of her in something that looks similar too.

this doesn't look like Heroine IMO
Now I'm really confused, Heroine is definitely not that blue and Cyber is not that bright, unless she mixed it with something else.
Here you go: http://imabeautygeek.com/2014/01/27/lorde-lip-exact-lip-colour-lorde-wore-2014-grammy-awards/#axzz2wz1C5bsl Makeup artist Amber Dreadon, aka Amber D, is a New-Zealand-based MAC senior artist and the pro responsible for Lorde’s blackened purple lip colour. She created the shade with the following recipe: MAC Vino lip pencil + MAC Cyber lipstick + MAC Heroine lipstick. Vino is a deep violet purple liner ($18 at maccosmetics.com); Cyber is a black-purple satin lipstick ($18 at maccosmetics.com); Heroine is a bright purple matte ($18 at maccosmetics.com).

Ohh that one...the original pic you quoted earlier showed a color that was much different...like a bright blue purple color, so I thought you meant that color, not the blackened purple one.

That bright blue-ish lippie is from the Grammy's brunch, not the actual Grammy's. They're saying that she wore Heroine and Cyber at the Grammy's :)

You think that could possibly still be the color? Like they're making up that "recipe" so you can get close enough to the color but not spot on so you will still want hers in June? I never trust MAC's business practices lol
