Happens every time! My personal experience is that somewhere in between the two is the actual color.Ok, that's a HUGE difference between T's lip swatch and VV's lip swatch!

Oh, I see she is talking about pairing it with Nightmoth to make it darker and more dramatic. That's just what I was thinking. I don't own it but I'm gonna go ahead and get one.

That awkward moment where if a lipstick is true to one swatch it's a total skip and if it looks like another it's a total buy. I lIke the lipstick in T's swatch and hate the one in the Vampy Varnish,, Karen's swatch is inconclusive.

Honestly, I don't think Temptalia's swatch is accurate. It looks really bright and washed out.

I'm back and forth as to whether I want it or not. It's nice enough but if I have to wear a liner to make it work the way I want it, is it really worth it?

That's how I feel about it right now. I like the color a lot, but I have too many lipsticks to be buying new ones that are going to be problematic for me to wear. It's just not realistic for me to buy it, especially with so much other stuff coming out at the same time.

I hate to rag on her because I appreciate what she does, but Temptalia's swatches have been looking more and more inaccurate to me for a while.

She's a good makeup reviewer. But I agree her swatches are rarely accurate. I think it may be lighting. She has some swatches that are on point but then those are the pictures that appear to have better lighting.

I agree. I usually only like to see her swatches because she is just a tiny bit darker than me, so I get a general idea if something will work for me. However, I never trust her lip swatches because her lips are paper white compared to mine. I haven't seen a lip product yet that looks the same on both of us, so for those I look to Karen.

I find temptalia swatches to be very accurate in person, the exact same color to be specific, and i am a complete different race muchless skintone/color. I been following her for so many years. And I depend on her swatches when deciding on any brand not just mac. I enjoy looking at all swatches from everywhere, but for bloggers I decide based on her. Its not a swatch until i see her swatches. When I go to the store to view and buy makeup, its spot on identical. I know its prob very weird to others hearing me say that. But she does it for me.

I am still going to get this regardless but I'm still having a hard time figuring out what it REALLY looks like! Vampy Varnish's swatch looks soo different from everythign we've seen thus far.
Even if it looks like punk couture I won't be mad cause then I'll just see it as a backup in a different finish. You can never have enough purple lipsticks.
