i like the purple packaging but the glasses on the compact alone looks kinda weird...if there was a face on it, it might be cuter. just my opinion..

yeah, i was thinking about the same thing. somehow it looks very...bare with nothing but the glasses. and i really hope the eyeglass frame thingie on the lipstick is not going to be a sticker this time.

Considering that Dame Edna is Australian I hope we get the entire collection here!! It's so friggin annoying when Australia only gets a limited release of a new collection.
C'mon MAC stop waving the carrot at us Aussies and then depriving us of the goods!! It's bad enough we get charged double the price but pleeeeeeeeease at least give us all of the Dame Edna collection!!! She's one of us!

Regardless of whether Dame Edna is icon, or original (haha, and I guess that would be a "check both" case), I'll have to see the actual product before I buy anything. I'm not adverse to the packaging, but unlike HK, it won't sell me any product! Lol. It must be a generational thing, but DE does nothing for me. I just don't connect with that character.
Oh, and to add on to the whole Icon thing: I would just die if Meryl Streep were to ever become an Icon. I had such a girl crush on her when I was in my teens and twenties... ADORE!

that's what i do with my blot powder. so far its been in the catherine deneuve case, barbie, fafi, heatherette, and now in the lure packaging (i love teals/turqs!).

I'm 99.99% sure that it will be printed, not stickers. I think Fafi was misunderstood adn the stickers were intentional, to be very young, and hip. As if little girls stole the makeup and put their fashion stickers all over them.
It will probably be printed, and I hear that they will have a rhinestone, or foil finish? Some kind of shimmer!

The packaging is kinda cute, but it's not the sort of compact I'll be carrying around forever and going berserk over. I'll selectively purchase if the colors are cool (which I'm sure they will be) but thankfully I won't be compelled to buy a bunch of backups and spare compacts!
