I can't believe Dolly Parton never crossed my mind for a Icon collection. I adore her! I'm a TN native and she is like royalty there lol. Can you imagine some of the fun product names they could come up with? Maybe a Cream Color Base that has "boob" somewhere in the name haha.

...I don't really get why they are doing a Dame Edna Collection...we do realise she's a comedic drag figure right? The point is that her makeup and styling is very ott and um...non flattering?

Well I think that the colors that MAC chose for this collection can be flattering on everyone. I don't think that they expect us to wear our makeup just like her or that most people would. It is just a fun and clever collection. I am excited for it!

Yeah, it really is just a bit of fun. BTW am I the only one that sees the similarities between this collection and Heatherette? The bright out there colours, the e/s trio's, the amplified cream lipsticks, the beauty powders, the campy aspect etc. I remember when I got my Heatherette stuff I thought I'd made a big mistake and wondered how I'd ever get them to work for me. But since I've learnt how to work with them I wear them all the time now!

After really thinking about, I think the Icon should be Carmen Dell'Orefice.

Some may say, "I never heard of her." She is a Supermodel and she is 77 y/o now. She has been in so many magazines, but she isn't always the focus. She may be in the background in a Bridal book or in an ad. She is there and still working. Sometimes, she will be on the runway or in a commercial.

Note: She was in the Smoke Signals video last year.

If I could do my makeup like that when i was fantastically drunk.....

well... I dont know where I was going with the end of that sentance.

But when I was getting ready for my date the other night I had a couple glasses of wine (are we starting to see a pattern here????) and I felt like my makeup kept falling off my face. I mean.. I would put it on and then I'd be like "wait...am i accidently wipeing this off?" I always feel like that if i drink- even a little bitty sippy... its like my makeup stops adhering to my face or something. Awkward.

And Rbella I will make amense if you will. (Did i spell amense right?)
