It'll be glued to a piece of plastic, and you'll have to depot it from that as in take the metal pan off of the plastic. Then take the studio fix powder and depot it from the plastic hinge. Then replace the two pans. I don't know how to depot other than using a candle and that distorts the plastic so I don't know how you would do it. =/

Hmm, then maybe not. Sounded too good to be true.
Thanks.
Although I will still get it

If you wanted to simply switch the "highlight" powder with blot powder, that would be reeeeeally easy. You just pop out the plastic pieces holding the pans and swap them! Takes a matter of seconds.

Thanks, but the thing is I do not have a blot powder

That's why I was hoping I could move my Studio Fix powder. But I could also like the highlight powder. We'll see.

Here is another method. I don't know if this would work?

YouTube - Depotting MAC w/o heat

And my MA uses her baking oven

I depot using a flat iron (for hair) which doesn't distort the plastic nearly as badly as using a candle. I'd say about 80-90% of the time the plastic trays pop perfectly back into the blush or eye shadow compact. It's not a sure fire, but it tends to work for me. If I do end up buying a highlight powder, I'm sure I'll be doing so. I don't know that I could abide having a non-matching plastic piece in the compact.

Sounds like "80% of all accidents happen in the household"

If it works for bush it could also work for the powder. Did you ever burn yourself?
When I am back home I need to have a closer look at the powder and if/how I can get it out.

Guess I'll if I like the packaging still after seeing it and then let's move on to the product.

And there will be no switching on the oven

I use a regular full size iron meant for clothes - and that gives even less distortion! And aren't the plastic pieces often black, anyway? If they're both black, depotting is just silly, as it's a lot of unnecessary work...

I wonder if the packaging will have diamante studs on them like his glasses?

I TAKE IT ALL BACK!!

The beauty powders are just lush and the gold embossing of stars and his signature on the powders is just a genius idea! Who will be buying two - one to use and one to just stare at? I'd be too scared to ruin the embossing.

The video is also very entertaining. Bring it on!

I got Gladiola lipstick in the mail today, it definately ia very bright pink/purple. The packaging is adorable the glasses decal on the case is like raised glitter glue( i don't know how else to describe it) in a beautigul glittery red. I'll take photos at the weekend!

I think I will get Gladiola from this collection and thats it. Just to collect a piece of the packaging. Nothing really grabs me and I'm too excited about other collections. I've been buying way too much makeup lately and am trying to expand to other brands. Except MAC won't let me with all these collections!!!

So I'm only getting that for now, of course I could be swayed once I start seeing swatches.

OMG!!!! I seriously shouldn't check this post. Now I want both highlighter. They're so prettyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. And who said purple's never be my thing?

Now, I have to wait when it will hit my counter.

Hmmm . . . I might actually pass on the highlighters altogether. I don't *really* need another compact . . . I'll be getting at least one compact from Monogram and now it sounds like Hello Kitty compacts will be Couture-esque, too . . . plus my Stylistics compact . . . I can probably pass on this. That would cut my list down to just the Wisteria Trio and Gladiola and maybe Possum Nose Pink. I'm so freaking frugal!

(Let's conveniently ignore the fact that I'm going to buy nearly ALL of Monogram, shall we? K thanks.)

Could be worse, you could be buying up this AND Monogram, so well done for passing up the majority of this
