I picked up the Face brush set with the 187se. It is total CRAP! I have 5 187se brushes from other sets & they have beautiful soft full brush heads - not this one. The brush head is smaller, its not as soft as the older ones, and it definitely is not full.

elegant-one, worser than the Colour Forms brushes?

Maybe I will just get one brush set then. Or none and one more palette

^^^Unfortunately, yes! It was terrible. I love to collect the short handle 187 & I am soooo disappointed!

I ordered the basic set and the eye set from Nordstroms. I hope they're nice. I felt them in the MAC store and they felt okay to me so I ordered them online for the $35 price. I mainly got them for the travel-sized 239, 219, and 217 (which I have these in full size) the other brushes are just bonuses for me and I hope I like them. I know I can find a use for them all.

I felt the ones in the store, and they felt TERRIBLE too! I have a few 187 se brushes too... and this one was junk. I was disappointed as well... I wanted to pick them up at $35/set, but they're not worth it.

Hm I spend a little too much today (I blame MAC, how they dare bring back items that were sold out before!

) and I will focus on the rose lips bag and the cool eye palette on Monday

and skip those brush sets.
I'd love to have red MAC brushes too but if they are so crappy here too than those EUR are too much for it.

I called MAC Customer Service Product line & informed them that yes...this year their holiday brush sets are inferior quality & they should improve the quality of them if they want to continue sales of them in the future because a lot of customers are not happy with the quality of the red sets.

I just got my eyes brush set today and I don't think they are that bad at all. They seem quite soft to me but then I don't own any other MAC brushes and I have none to compare them to, but I don't think they are all that bad. They would have been a bit prettier if the red handle was a deeper red though.

I also got the warm and smokey pallets which are very pretty.

But I do like the one I got from last year a bit more (metallic eyes) The case is more durable and I like the antique look.
