I did not care for it. Thought it was small, and a lil scratchy. But just a little.

I like the look of the Real Techniques Kabuki brush. I love that it converts for contouring http://www.love-makeup.co.uk/real-techniques-kabuki-brush-p-1840.html

Has anyone tried this brush? What do you think of it?

I was 99% sure I was skipping this collection until about ten minutes ago. Now I'm seriously considering Elude and Hyper! *must resist*

Thanks for the laughs!

Hey, I dunno - looking at your pic I would say you might just quite love Elude for your skin tone. Just sayin

I have a feeling this will be online next week in Australia, if you think those prices are high.... wait until it hits here! A standard buffer here is $80!!

I can only imagine what its going to cost over here.

I don't understand the purpose of elude *ducks*, or any other beauty powder. Also, how do WOC pull off a porcelain doll look? Not that I'm trying to do that, just thinking out loud.

I think your avatar is a great example of how a WOC can use a lighter shade to sculpt and shape her face. As Elude is translucent rather than opaque or covering, it might well work to lighten up a complexion w/o looking ashy. However, I certainly recommend trying it out in person.

Very true she looks stunning with it on. I think I might splurge after I get my bills paid. Hopefully it stick around for a while. And I still want to get a gloss. Thanks MacGuy ;)

I'd say go for it. Obviously my review was based on my own complexion (NW15), but liba is NC15 - if I remember correctly - and it looks gorgeous on her.

Oh man, those international prices are outrageous. and I was complaining about my dad having to pay a few extra dollars for my lippie cause of the sales tax where he lives =/
I suppose are problems could be much worse though!

I am seconding that question! And still contemplating Elude, I am having trouble figuring out how to afford $60. I guess my niece and nephew don't really NEED Christmas presents...

Are there face charts for this collection?

I am glad I got what I did when I did. The display at the Seattle downtown Nordies was half empty and trashed. I couldn't get Vacant there with the rest of my order because they were holding all of their stock for pre-orders for an event in a few days (which is why I had it overnighted from MAC). There was one set of lashes left and they were in the display (NIB). When I bought them I was told there weren't any available for customers because the MUAs bought all of them.

Anyway, decided to skip the pigments and polishes. Will wait for the Metal X shadows but for right now I am happy with Elude, Vacant, Restrict and the lashes.

Funny you say that - I ADORE using the greyish brown from that quad with Elude/Restrict. I actually also used the ochre and orange from it with Elude too (but with Spree lipglass, not Restrict).

Other shadows I LOVE with Elude/Restrict are Winterized, Hold That Pose (those 2 are awesome anyhow, but extra special with E/R) also the flat greyish lavender matte shadow from last year's Playing it Cool holiday shadow set (that actually may be the best of all of them with this combo). Next up to try will be Bloodline and Mauvement, and Birds & Berries would be great - wish I had that one, but Dark Indulgence will be good in a pinch. I thought the pigments that came with this collection were a very excellent texture, but not imperative as a compliment to Elude/Restrict. Fervent would be better matched with the GP pigments over shadows from other collections, but I still think it'd be pretty simple to find a good color from one of this year's crushed metal stacks or MES too. I'm sure once I can get my paws on Ardent, that'll be the color of choice! :D

Liba- I mightn't be able to get elude now and you mentioned that you really liked careblend powder. I currently use msfn or prep and prime. I was wondering what your thoughts are on careblend. Also, if you used the powders I have then comparison thoughts would be appreciated too.

It's surprising how subtle it is given that it is blue, isn't it? I love how nicely put together all the products from GP are in this collection. Let's hope MAC keeps it up.

It's not uncommon for dark blues but I think it's worth mentioning that Hyper has stained my nail very badly. I've been through a polish change and almost a week since I took it off and the nail is still blue! It was just a test I did in the store so I didn't have a base coat. Remember to use a base coat with this one.

I've decided to go back for Ascension - probably my only purchase from this collection. The polish isn't remotely worth the price but the packaging is so beautiful and I thought this shade looked especially great in the bottle. I can't buy Lippmann here so I don't think there's a good one around.

I feel sad that Elude looked so bad on me:( I think pale powders are overdue for a return to fashion though so hopefully I'll have more options soon.
