Im looking forward to a few things in this collection, and even tho MAC has not had swatches yet... it still doesnt make me think that the products are dodgy. Gareth Pughs collection has my name all over it... and while i cant afford to get everything Im going to get things I know I will appreciate to have that piece of history with me forever.

For an edgy designer like him there should be a fancy display, even tho I have asked at both my MAC counters and we are not getting it here, its online only for us. The delay is only making me more excited and hunt for more information.

I think this is a pretty niche collection and MAC's decided to spend the money on the fancy in-store displays with video to lure impulse shoppers, rather than rely on cosmetics bloggers who are inevitably going to bring up the extra cost as compared to the colors, which have some unique but difficult things and some relatively standard vampy colors that you could find for cheaper.
I, for one, am looking forward to getting a few things, but overall, this collection reminds me of Riveting, but more expensive - sort of dicey to do a really rock 'n roll collection at a designer price point. Even if Gareth Pugh is one of the most interesting designers around, he's not a household name - even McQueen was better known at the time he did his MAC collaboration.

oh so i thought it would come online at the same time for everybody, cos there is no discount or anything.

I'm not happy about not having any swatches

I have decided to get strada in pro pan instead.. rather large saving but im still getting the buffer as my piece of this collection to keep. Swatches on lip products would be handy so i can decide if want one or not.

BP is another one that caught my attention but might have to let it go for now... cant afford it this close to xmas but if its still available online after I may pick it up... depends how it swatches and reviews

Yeh that's the first couture collection MAC did.

Yes this is the first couture collection, the name was : MACouture, it had a 182 too, of incredible quality.
From my point of view it looks like the designer tried to go back with the original spirit of the collection and is interpretation of it.
I do really like it, as a fan of the old school look. I only wish the products were on par with the originals.
The lipsticks I got from MACouture are still perfectly fragrant, and they look like the same they I got them, never melted of anything,
Its been a long time since a saw MAC come up with real quality products. Now the lipsticks turn bads in a year or two sometimes.

Oh goody, just in time for this collection, a big nasty cold sore on my top lip, but only on one half so that it looks nice and puffy with the sore, and the other half looks small and disappearing. Perhaps I should purchase Fervent and add to the look? No, wait, they are asking how much $$ for a lippie - and no pro discount?

Hm...guess I'll just wait for the cold sore to go away and wait for the Iris collection. But the packaging is gorgeous!

I am very curious about the nail polishes as they looked cool and hoping it will apply well. I am thinking about getting the dark purple lipstick as well. Maybe I should the pro store in Chicago and order from them, together with some medium. Before that, I will wait for swatches and reviews.

I think it's the first Thursday of December, which must be the 1st this month. Although I think it might be an online exclusive here, in which case it might be the first Tuesday (ie 6th)? I'm not too sure.

sorry if i missed it, is there a release date for the UK yet?

If the compact is refillable and I can actually find a powder that would work for my skin, I would consider spending the money on it, because I know it will be really cool with the GP geo design...I am getting so anxious for swatches, I hope they don't keep us in suspense for too much longer
