I agree I grew up with Spotty Dottie, but I also liked the dog and the frog. But not many things are of those two characters so I stay with Hello Kitty.

I won't be like DressCamp, we will riot if it is.

if i like the packaging, i can probably talk myself into something. otherwise, it's a combination of what i really want and packaging. i know i shouldn't get so taken in by packaging, but at least i try to limit it to stuff i will use. (packaging is to blame for a lot of my stila collection)

All this HK anticipation is giving me anxiety. I just cant wait till FEBRUARY dammit!!! I already know I'll be standing outside the MAC store at 4AM, freezing my A$$ off (well, as much as one can in southern california). I really hope the compact is classic white hello kitty with the red bow. I need to keep away from this thread for a while

MAC - Hello Kitty (Feb. 2009)

I've heard rumors about this and I'm SUPER EXCITED. I remember when the Barbie collaboration came out I really wanted them to do a Hello Kitty collaboration. I'm new to Spektra.net so if anyone could help me, feel free to give me some tips. THANKS!

So I have various reasons as to why I will be buying this whole collection, and possibly multiples. I have been a hello kitty fan since '89 (I was two). Next to MAC, Hello Kitty is favorite thing on this planet. My birthday is February 12th, which is a thursday and I won't be able to celebrate til the next day aka the tentative launch date of this collection, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME. And I try to RESIST limited edition collections at all costs because I do not want to fall in love with a color/product and never be able to get it again or wait around for it to be repromoted, but have been waiting for a collection worth breaking my resistance. This collection WILL be it regardless of the color story.

I work as a manager at a Hot Topic and I would STRONGLY advise you to revisit your local store or HT.com on or around November 28th (black friday), BEEEEEECAUSE we will have collections of licensed apparel which are exclusive to us. Hello Kitty is generally one. From what I have heard via headquarters and other employees they will be releasing specialized themes for Sanrio products (Punk Kitty, Sweet Kitty, etc etc Hello Kitty outside of her "normal" look). I ASSUME we will be getting back the edible collection but in a slightly different look.

Spottie Dottie was my favorite. But, unfortttttunatley

she wont be comming back anytime soon. Keroppi's "birthday" was July of 1988. They relaunched him for his 20th "birthday" this July. Spottie Dottie's "birthday" was March of 1991. They retired both characters with in a matter of months of eachother. And they will be rereleasing her as a character for her 20th "birthday" in 2011.
