Got a chance to swatch the bronzer today. I thought it was very nice - the warm tan of the brown portion on its own would be too yellow for me, but mingled with the hot pink it really was a perfectly colored bronzer.
I just glanced at Temptalia's review and am a little sorry to see that the pink portion doesn't go all the way through, since it's the subtle pink element that really makes the whole color come together. However the brown portion is very raised up over the pink - you won't even get any pink at all if you swipe at it with your finger. You have to use a brush to pick any of it up. So in effect, you will have to use quite a bit of the bronzer to get it so flattened out that you start chipping away at the pink portion. As a comparison, I've used enough of my Marine Life to have flattened out most of the sea horse - I just have the sea horse belly left raised up over the rest of the pan. I've used that darn ML quite extensively since I bought it, too. I'd say the raised bronzer is about twice as tall as the tallest raised portion of ML, so it ought to take a lot of use to grind that down even near to the point where you'd be working away directly on the pink. Even still, I need to watch Christine's video to see how far in the pink goes.
She is totally right about the texture being like the Careblend bronzer, but being a bit sheerer. I ADORE the Careblend formula, so thumbs up on that. I didn't ask to see the other two pieces in this collection since I wasn't interested in either of them, but as it stands, I still am probably going to spring for the bronzer because the color is beautiful and really an excellent addition to a bronzer collection for people who are light to medium skinned - any darker and I don't think it's going to do much without slathering it on heavily.
If you really loved the look of My Paradise but wished it was a little easier to work with, this bronzer might be right up your alley.
