I love a good matte eyeshadow.

Is the quad worth getting? I think I will take my chances and wait for it at a CCO.Btw Erin switched my lid and crease color today and it looks as intended. However the Najm el Lail didn't even last 4 hours on my eye and was patchy. And I don't put the transition color on the brow bone either. That's where I highlight. I was curious about that area having two labels.
I know. I was just kiddingI meant dull as in not shiny or shimmery. Not boring or lackluster. I think I'm going to expand my shadow collection this year. I've been buying shadows at the whim of LE releases. I would like to get more mattes in the process.![]()
Eh, it's got two perm colors and none of the colors are tdf. I'm pretty sure I'm returning mine due to the darkest color being patchy and fading. I'll try it some more this week and then off to the curb. I'm probably returning Hajar Karim b/c I don't envision myself wearing matte green shadow. I don't wear colorful eyes to work. First I'm gonna try HelloBlondie's look though. Is the quad worth getting? I think I will take my chances and wait for it at a CCO.
I also have steamy. That didn't stop me though... Steamy is different from Parrot. Parrot is brighter and bluer. Perfection IMO. Now to work it on the eyes...I do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot... I have Steamy andShimmermoss ...i do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot...
Come on girl GET IT!! its the best shadow in the collection. it looks nothing like shimmermoss.I do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot...

What if you tried using Hajar Karim as a crease color with one of those browns from the quad on the lid? And then maybe also apply the green to the lower lash line. It will add color without being colorful. I'm just guessing here. No idea if it will actually look right.Eh, it's got two perm colors and none of the colors are tdf. Lol, I know you were kidding. But then I realized someone else may not have known what I meant, so I clarified. Besides, I'm easily poke-able. It's good for a laugh.I know. I was just kidding. Love a good (well intended) poke every now and then![]()

Absofriginlutely!!! I'm wearing Indie Spirit in my crease & Fresh Daily as transition today--my brow bone is above that. And as you mentioned, it doesn't always have to be brown. I've used purple tones such as trax and haux as transition colours before too. Softer corals are great transition colours when using, say, red brick or orange in crease. All the transition colour should be is a colour softer/lighter than the crease colour, so as not to create a harsh line occurring between the crease and highlight color.

You do need Parrot...You do need Parrot.I do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot... i do not need Parrot...

I'm glad I'm not the only one that questioned that! Since NeL is matte (i believe) you have to do a lot of packing, no swiping. Try using a darker, blacker base. That way the patchiness won't show thru.Btw Erin switched my lid and crease color today and it looks as intended. However the Najm el Lail didn't even last 4 hours on my eye and was patchy. Well, obviously there's shroom and SB. Folie and Typographic (or Nehru even). Electra, copperplate, print and obviously carbon.Hi Erine1881, MAC Goddess, can you come up with dupes for the quads? Hopefully colors I already have, general catalog (perm) or not too hard to find LE singles? I really like the orange shadow, I just got my box, so that is being worn in the crease tomorrow with a matte grey on the lid (UD Shakedown probably). Of course Parrot e/s is banging, but I think the orange one will end up being my favorite. Or, maybe the blurple one.
sigh, you are gonna make me buy them. But I'm eyeing the illmasqua palette.I swatched my shadows today on my arm with a brush and love them all. Especially Parrot. It leans more green than blue on me, which I prefer. I swatched them all on my bare skin without bases or primers. I don't think I'll have trouble applying the colors when I use them for real on my eyes. I also realize I have very few mattes in my collection. I mostly have Veluxe Pearl, Frost or MES. I had to keep reminding myself that Hajar Karim, Gameela and Farasha are supposed to look dull.
