So let's talk about how to use matte's...  since they are typically duller (not shiny and etc)  where is the best place to use them?  What is the best application method to place it on the eye?
Placement/Application- highlight-swipe crease-windshield wiper outer corner-windshield wiper, circles liner (top, bottom)-press, wiggle, short dashes Lid is the hardest placement, but can be done with a stiff brush and pressing and packing on the colour.

For some reason I enjoy doing the lid the most

but the outer corner the least. I don't think I'm very good at it or feel like I'm nailing it.

I find it easiest to apply the outer corner by applying your lid colour first, over the entire lid. Then apply your crease, and outer corner last. Pack on the corner with a 239, then blend with a 217. Now some of the lid colour's finish may show thru, just pack a little more corner colour, and VERY LIGHTLY blend again with the 217. The packing will give you the intensity without the showthru, while the blending, well, blends, the two colours together. Another option that tends to be a little more difficult is applying your outer corner first directly o to the base. This is more difficult cuz you're trying to blend a matte on top of your base. Not an easy task. Once you have the outer corner placement, then apply your lid colour, ever so slightly overlapping it with the corner. If needed, go back and add more outer corner colour if it got covered too much with your lid colour. This way minimizes showthru more than the previous way. Try that and lemme know if it helps.

My Parrot arrived yesterday, sooo beautiful! It will make a gorgeous combo with Banafsaji. Thinking of trying that paired with SLN for a bright spring/summer look.

I got the 5 eyeshadows and the 3 Chromagraphic Pencils today. I'm returing Gameela as it looks the exact same as my Embrace Me eyeshadow so if anyone has that I wouldn't say Gameela is worth getting.

This picture is a little washed out and has bad lighting, but you get the idea. ;) I used Parrot, Daydreaming, and Goldmine. A little dusting of Goldmine over Parrot...

I love it! I been wondering what to pair with Parrot, other than boring neutrals to let it be the "star". Nice blending too. What liner did you use???

Thank you so much Erine! For whatever reason, I've always started with my lid so I'll keep doing that, and I'll try both of your suggestions to see with which I'm most comfortable/least clumsy.

That sounds like it would be really very pretty spring/summer look. I especially love the idea of Parrot & SLN.

Is parrot comparable to Peace by Urban Decay? I have Steamy, and some other blue greens from Urban Decay and Inglot, trying to decide if I should buy it! Trying to curb the spending , went all out in April.
Parrot and Peace are almost identical in person...here is a swatch. Left to right: Peace, Parrot and Surf USA
.

Really? In your swatches I see turquoise, blue (almost periwinkle), and teal.

They must not be photographing as you're seeing them.
