Nooooooo!!!  No more migraines!!!  :getyou:   They really need to find better meds for those or something.  My closest friend gets them all the time and I always feel so bad!  I hope your head "forgets" you're due for a migraine tomorrow  :support:
Me too! I normally get 2-3 a year. Since Sept I've been getting 2 a month! I get one, then another two days later. It sucks!!! I take meds nightly to help prevent them, and Imitrex when i get em. I get the visual auras, including loss of sight in one eye, extremity numbness, nausea, vomiting and dizziness. I'm gonna go back to my doctor and have her increase my daily meds. I've been on the same dose for 17 years. Guess I'm due for an increase!

You should be able to B2M for LE shades as long as they are in regular packaging. I did it today for 3 fashion set lippies. Ask the store or counter you go to, i know some have (or follow) different rules.
:agree:  And some new permanent lipsticks so when I b2m I can choose something I don't already own. I returned 12 unused items and was so disappointed in the selection of the perm lippies. I have most of them or had them. Decided on Taupe and Pink Nouveau because I've never had those...I think.

I B2md for them today too! And speaking of different rules-the counter i worked at for over 6 years (left 6 months ago) no longer allows depots, even tho it did the entire 6+ years i worked there. My sister B2Md today in Atlanta for FS stuff. They took her depots no problem!

My counter still takes depots too, no problem. I will be sad i they ever stop cause i depot almost everything for convenience of the palettes. You can buy empty eyeshadow pans on ebay pretty cheap tho like 25 for $5 (i got them for pressing pigments) but if they start refusing depots i'll just put those empty pans in the pots, i WILL get my B2M's!

I have the same problem!!!

They have to replace those testers on the displays with something, right? Fingers crossed that we're getting new perm colors!

I agree that GFI and Heroine should be made perm (especially Heroine!). Deeply Adored and Love Goddess would be nice too, but they'd have to do away with the MM packaging of course. Those were just off the top of my head because they were recent lovelies...I'll have to think of more! (As if by my thinking of them, the MAC fairy will wave her magic wand and POOF! them into permanent shades)

ETA: What's with all the migraines people are having lately?? Feel better soon OctoberViolet!!
weather change? MIne kicked my ass yesterday...
Feel better OV.

i get all of that too. been getting them since I was about six The first time I lost vision in my eye I was terrified. It always starts as a small spot and spreads. It's always a sign Im about to get a migraine from hell. I pop 4 advil (sometimes 5), sudafed (not sure how I found that this combo works) and go lay down (or leave work) instantly. I couldn't stand imitrex. I got ALL of the side effects. my doc finally put me on a blood pressure medicine that reduces the intensity and frequency. I used to get them EVERYDAY the week before my cycle. Right before I was going to get sick, stress, and etc... I'd rather have a hangover. Since the meds don't completely stop them, I will get migraines with all of the nasty side effects in full intensity. The first one I got was the weirdest feeling ever. I was like I'm sick like I have a migraine, but it isn't a bad one. My migraines have gotten so bad, the regular ones I used to get, i've learned to function through.

I got some pans from TKBtrading.com. Definitely a great deal! I plan on doing the same!

Yeah i get a little line of squiggles and it grows and grows til it completely blocks any vision in the one eye (like my one eye sees nothing but a white noise tv channel. Make sense?). That's when i pop an imitrex and 2 excedrin migraines. Then each body part goes numb one by one on the same side as the vision loss. Arm and hand first (always), then leg, face, lips then tongue. Then everything goes back to normal and then the pain starts :( Ever since the 2/ month ones I've been getting the imitrex sides effects as well-chest heaviness, throat tightness, feels like my tongue is swelling (but its not), panic that i can't breathe, all of it! It's the worst thing ever! I need to go see my doctor! I've learned to function with them because i have to, but it's not easy when you need complete silence, darkness and stillness!
This is THE COCKTAIL!
Good to know that combo works for a couple people. Definitely gonna try the sudafed in addition to everything else.

SO glad to know I'm not the only one who does this. I think I was just trying whatever I had one day. The numbness I felt in my face during a migraine felt like the sinus pressure. So I said wth!

It has to be the red ones that you take two at a time behind the pharm counter.

It has to be real pseudoephedrine - yep! Don't get the stuff off the shelf.

Man the regular stuff SUCKS!   I buy so much sudafed and claritan, I'm sure they have my name recorded in the books somewhere.  LOL
I use sudafed and zyrtec. I always worry I am going to whip out my ID and someone is going to deny me or something. OAN, I really hope I can get this collection.

Well the imitrex is the only thing that makes the white noise vision, dizziness and numbness go away, which to me, is worse than the pain. Maybe they can give me samples of something else to try.

Yeah i don't touch that OTC shit! Always the pharm kind! Damn meth cooks ruining it for us who really need it!

My heart goes out to all of you experiencing severe migraines.

I know not everyone believes in Chinese medicine, but if it helps any, I used to get terrible migraines with hallucinations, nausea and just total incapacitation every month around my period. Definitely hereditary - my mother would get bad ones and could barely get home from work on her own when she had them. After a particularly bad one that went on for days, I decided to do a course of acupuncture specifically for taming them. After 2-3 months of regular treatments once or twice a week, I became 100% migraine free for over 10 years. In the past few years, I get the onset sensations maybe every few months, again around my period, but I grab some advil right away and they never kick in - the worst I get is just a standard headache that lasts for a few hours until I can grab a small nap.

I don't think all acupuncturists and TCM practitioners are created equal - it's an art as well as a science. Better to find someone who got the full training that is required in Mainland China - they have to have get a PhD in a Western medical discipline AND the equivalent of an MD in Western medicine before they can take the Traditional Chinese Medical courses and get their degree/certification to practice. It's hardcore. If you don't have access to someone like that, I'm not sure what sort of results you can get. All I can say is, my doctor cured me pretty much for life - it's been nearly 15 years now migraine-free for me.

Parrot looks like a pretty color from the google searches but I have some blues at home close to that color and it does not look good on me. I’m trying to stay away from buying stuff just because it is pretty. I don’t mind a few items but not my entire collection. I am more focused on colors I will use at some point in my life. I do have my eye on Farasha.

I wasn't around for the original release(s) of Parrot, so when when I saw this, I pretty much bounced around the room with glee. I'm also curious about the green and the pink. I'd really like a saturated dark pink to wear along my upper lash line. I'm always disappointed by the swatches of Passionate.

I doubt it's for India, since a number of the names are in Arabic. Perhaps it's a Middle East collection - Dubai, etc.

Whatever language it is, i wouldn't know what kind it was. My guess was based on others comparing the collection to Mickey Contractor :dunno:

Some potential translations:

Individual Eyeshadows
Gameela - "Beautiful" - no hard "G" sound in standard Arabic, just a "j" sound, so it's more often Romanized as Jamila or Jameela
Banafsaji - Violet - Arabic borrowed the word from Persian
Farasha - Butterfly
Hajar Karim - literally "Generous Stone" - probably means "Jewel" or "Gem"

Rimal Dahabia Eyeshadow Quad
Rimal = Sands and Dahabia = Golden - so the quad name is "Golden Sands"
Najm el Lail - Najm = "star" and al Lail = "night" or "of the night" - so the shadow's name is "Star of the Night"

Masat al Lail Eyeshadow Quad
al Lail - "NIght" or "of the Night"
i can't find Masat in my dictionary, but there are several different ways to write "s" and "t" (each with its own sound), so maybe i'm not coming up with the correct combo.

Sama Blue Mascara - Sama may mean "soaring", which goes well with blue.

I think it's the weather, but seriously! Enough with the migraines (I'm on schedule to have another one tomorrow :( )
I kno exactly what ur saying. I used to always get them a day before before the rain arrives. I get them when I smell perfumes too ughhh I hate perfume so much it literally makes me wanna hurl! I took a 10 week chronic pain class and I learns about different foods and beverages that open the pain gate signal to the brain. Aged wines cheeses, beef, caffeine is the worst thing for anyone with a chronic issue. sadly I still drink about one a day but I'm used to being in pain now ;( I can't take pain pills they make me feel like ima puke ( which is the worst feeling for me ever it freaks me out) I just take muscle relaxers and I have a medical 420 card lol. I took immitrex it was the only thing thatever worked but my Dr won't even give it to me any ore because of all the side effects. and also one I stopped thing the pills everyday I stopped getting them. and in the class they said ur meds can cause it! for my sinus headaches I need the real sudafed T's the only thing that helps my sinuses
